Taming a wild squirrel is rewarding!

Here, Sandy submits to a lot of petting. She can be seen to "posture" - she lowers herself and waits. Is that cute or what? Her wild squirrel behavior has been changed because she has learned to be friendly. Notice how calm she is - normally, wild squirrels are "hyper"! This is a sign that she has become tame. Her entire demeanor is different from the typical wild squirrel. She also responds when called.

You didn't tame a wild squirrel you gained the trust of one and befriended her a much greater thing all together

My mom picked up a baby squirrel huddled around his dead mama in the road when we were camping and brought him home.. She made a home inside my older sisters old hamster cage.. She few him kitten formula before he was old enough for solid food.. We let him out to run around in the house and he felt like he was a king.. He even started sleeping at night with my younger sister.. He lived to be the ripe old age of seven before he died one night which is amazing because wild squirrels only live around three years! 🐿️

I have lunch with a squirrel who sits outside of my window, and I feed him nuts. They're so precious.
  • I get Georgia pecans shipped by the sack to feed my little friends. Such good rodents.
