The resolution would have suggested the full General Assembly approve Palestine, who would become the 194th full member of the UN. 140 other countries have already recognized the state of Palestine, essentially guaranteeing the resolution would have passed had the United States not vetoed the resolution.
The decision comes as the war in Gaza has increased worldwide focus on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

For those saying palastine never existed, Jewish war refugees had Palestinian IDs and some had Palastinian passports before 1947, they killed the country that took them in while European countries was killing them in the streets. Palestine have always been there, the settlers killed it, before you act all high and mighty read some history, and think what would YOU do if some foreign entity took your land, your house, and killed half your family.
