As we enter the end of the streaming wars we're seeing more cartoons get deleted from various platforms, even those created as original programming for these services! Close Enough, Infinity Train, Steven Universe: the Movie, Pantheon, Little Demon, Rugrats 2021, Big Nate and so much more have been removed from Max, Hulu, Paramount Plus, etc. and not all of these shows have new homes to go to! With the state of the industry, it feels appropriate to shed some light and run down every cartoon deleted from streaming!

Something worth also mentioning is all the Dreamworks Animated shows that were removed from Netflix that were made as a deal to be “Netflix Originals”. Some, like the Puss in Boots show, found their way to Peacock, where hopefully they’ll stay for a while, but others, like the banger Mr. Peabody and Sherman show and the underrated All Hail King Julien show are still stuck in an “only available on digital marketplaces” limbo. Hate to see it 😭

Remember when streaming was meant to be a supplement to physical media and not a replacement for it?

I used to be adamantly against piracy. But when art isn't able to be legally viewed, what other option is there?
  • @izzymcgee2527
Deleting shows from streaming "just cuz" is only gonna make more people throw up their hands and just pirate as much stuff as humanly possible.
  • I’m sorry, HBO Max came out only in 2020? Jesus my perception of time has been irreversibly destroyed. Like seriously all this shit happened within just a few years??

Whenever someone gets invested in a really good show only for said show to get cancelled, I call it "getting Infinity Trained".

"Animation is cinema! Animation is not a genre for kids; it's a medium!" ~ Guillermo del Toro. Animation is for everyone! 😭

Just like that pirating becomes an even more morally justified choice
  • It really makes me mad when studios do that. Cuz you're destroying someone's hard work just because you don't like it. It's not fair to them at all
  • I feel so bad for those failed cartoons that won’t get a physical releases. It’s so sickening. Streaming is such a mistake. I miss Infinity Train, Mao Mao, and Steven Universe The Movie. Also, Close Enough, Final Space, and others! OK KO as well! WBD is just so dumb!
  • This is why physical media matters. Cause when streaming services get rid kf their shows you can still watch them

I dread the day that a show gets deleted to the point where not even piracy could save it because people weren’t fast enough to archive it or just did nothing until it was too late. Update: People didn’t seem to understand my comment. I’m talking about projects that have seen the light of day. So projects like Batgirl and Scooby Doo and the Hex Girls don’t count because they were cancelled. Yes, they were almost finished, but that’s not what I meant.

5:22 Dude, Why did they put ZONE's video of Bloo having intercorse with Frankie 💀

Infinity train and Final Space hurt the most
  • @Mediados
What I despise is what they did to Infinity Train. A show so truly outstanding and emotional, with important psychological themes and character development. They cancelled it with no logical reason at all, it had a lot of fans and ran well, and then erased every trace of it. If it wasn't for "criminals" online, this masterpiece would be lost to the void.

In a sad sense, this IS kinda repeating history as many cartoons have been "erased from existence" beforehand, as in not available in any official capacity aside from possible mega rare home media releases. Space Cats, Anthony Ant, The Last Reservation, The Mysteries of Providence, Kassai And Luk, Stunt Dawgs, Tifou (1990), The Haunted Pork Burns Unit, Ring Raiders, etc.

We lost everything….. they took the train from us…. train of infinity…..
