We have 2 of them with 750 miles on mine. My only complaint was the seat which was easily fixed. A whole lot of enjoyment for us senior citizens.

I own 2 aventure 2. I generally leave mine in tour mode and play from 6 to 8th gear. Aventon has mastered the torque sensor by not limiting the speeds in each mode. It doesn't have alot of torque for throttle only hill climbing but pedaling make it easy. It is no doubt the best bike you can get in the 2000 dollar price range. Aventon makes the best torque sensor.

Getting ready to ride to the gym Rn, I’ve got oyster insurance so I’m not too nervous leaving my bike locked up in the front.

Have you tried the new/updated Wired Freedom? It does cost a bit more, but it has considerably more power and a bigger battery. It's definitely less of a workout bike than the Aventon, but it is much more fun.
  • I bought my Aventon Aventure 2 e-bike a month ago. I had 67 miles on it and burned my motor up on a paved steep mountain road at the 3000 foot elevation level in the mountains. I rode in Eco mode in first gear. I took it back to the bike store and the mechanic said that I needed another hub motor. My friend’s $600 Walmart Hyper 250 watt motor mid-drive e-bike made it up the hill and mine didn’t . Very embarrassing. I wish someone would post an endurance test video on a longer steep course like I did and see how it performs.

    1. Bad front brake (only allowed a 30 day warranty). 2. Pedal drag in turns. 3. Dark color screen background - hard to see fonts. 4. Power plug (pin specific direction and non self aligning) at pedal level with rubber door that gets in the way. 5. Battery level indicator jumps in large increments. 6. And a free spare battery that doesn't come with the face plate. $28 (shipped) The next person to tell me "nice bike" .... I'm asking if they want to buy it.
