We Spent a Week at Anchor in Beaulieu-sur-Mer

In this week's video, we dive behind the scenes with the Loon crew as they spend a week at anchor just after the Monaco GP while preparing for the remainder of their busy summer charter season.
Come along as the crew experience a brand-new Golf simulator called Off the Deck for the first time.
Chief Stewardess Courtney will take you shopping to stock Loon for the next few weeks.

Captain Paul faces extreme conditions and needs to act fast after some unpredicted weather hits fast. This forces Captain Paul to wake up the entire deck crew and get the tenders off the side of Loon in a hurry, which results in the loss of an anchor.

For anyone wondering, all the golf balls used in this video are environmentally friendly biodegradable balls that dissolve into fish food once submerged. We love the ocean that we sail on and would never put plastic balls into the water.

We are excited to announce the launch of our Loon Crew Patreon account. Members will get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the crew and even have the opportunity to join the crew onboard for a member lunch.

A very humble Captain who is totally human admitting a slight mistake. 🤗 Enjoyed the entirety of the video. Many thanks! 🍷

Capt Paul - how wonderful of you to create an anchor recovery training vid. Outstanding once again!!!
  • @ally1827
Damn a two hour meeting - they deserve a treat 😂

It's not easy to be fully alert when awoken out of a sound sleep and in a panic. Takes a strong leader to admit when they made a mistake. But nice to see that the anchor was recovered. May you have calm water and following seas.

Ooopsies on the bitter end.... Ah the joy of a new season!... Certainly appreciate the humblest of humble captains 😊.. thanks again for sharing this fellas and fellettes always love the incredible Loon!

It's great that you show the work in the yacht in this video. I would find it very interesting to see the yacht from the inside more often and the work that the ladies do in the cabins and salons. From polishing to making the beds to cleaning the windows. So far we've seen a lot of the work outside and in the kitchen. But all three areas are very interesting.

Yet again, another amazing Loon video. Well Done CPC for admitting a mistake, it’s a sign of strength. Great Drone shots. Awesome video once again.. x
  • What happens to the Golf balls? Are they retrievable, or bio-degradeable after they are swallowed by sea-animals🤔🙄
  • @bwillan
Is the Captain losing an anchor equivalent to the social media person sinking a drone? 😁 Good job in recovering the anchor and keeping all the boats safe.
  • We had a great week at anchor in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Chris and Dylan did a great job recovering the anchor after my little mistake 🤦‍♂️ Now we got to get down to Naples to pick up our next charter. 🛥️😎

Hello From Sunny Lake Tahoe California M/Y Loon. And to captain Paul, you did great, especially owning up to your mistakes and not blaming someone else. That's why your crew loves you.💞🚢🫰😎
  • So pleased I am not the only one who didn't attach the 'bitter end' . I did the same thing last summer but I didn't have a dive crew to retrieve mine! A sick feeling as the last of the chain disappears off the boat.

Always a great video. Loon is spectacular. Crew deserve all the love for their hard work! Glad you were able to rescue the anchor and chain.

Courtney made it sound like she was popping in for a few odds and ends 🤣🤣🤣

Another Loon video to watch while drinking the morning cup of coffee!! Perfection!
  • Met some friends from South Africa yesterday here in Southern California and I IMMIDIATELY recognized their accent. They were surprised when I pinpointed where they were from!! lol. They sounded like my friends from Loon!!
