  • Nobody on Paleo "eats like their ancestors". NONE of our ancestors would have been able to have fruit, nut, and oat smoothies every day. Most of our ancestors would have been lucky to eat a pound of fruit in one year. They wouldn't have been able to eat more than one pound a day. Winter is a thing, remember.

I love how you clearly put a lot of effort into these. I'll subscribe to you :)

Great video bro, keep it up! Been on the Mediterranean diet alongside Paleo. Have been losing lots of weight and feeling a lot better since changing from the SAD diet lifestyle.
  • Loved the video! This is a good introduction the world of diets for someone like me who has no idea what they are doing. I also love how civil the comment section is given how controversal the "right" diet can be as well as all the misinfo going around. Thanks for making this video! Greatly apriciated!

PE diet does cares about the source of food though. That diet's main focuses are increasing protein ratio, avoid mixing carbs/fat (because Randle cycle), and also avoiding modern highly processed foods which of course include seed oils. It's just a high protein low carb variant of paleo. For example, quote from "The PE diet" P.216 "As always, avoid any industrial seed oils like the plague (corn oil, vegetable oil, etc)."
  • I was wondering what "Breatharian" was, especially as it was still left as you moved up to the higher tiers. I figured it would be dry fasting, but I couldn't work out how it made it so high up the tier list because you can't stick to dry fasting forever (it should've taken a hit for sustainability at least [also it is not a diet, just a fasting regimen]). Air and sunlight - a truly enlightened diet! You never eat anything unhealthy and you will lose all the weight!

I left the SAD diet and started into Keto. After 6 months I started OMAD. After a time I then began incorporating back in some carbs, and a bit more flexibility. Now it's probably 80% animal based, 10% veg, 5% fruits, 5% garbage carbs. I call my diet: "Lowish carb, Low PUFA, 18-22hr fasting diet, with excessive alcohol consumption" . . . Hey, 2020 sucked.

Very good list, my friend! Keep up the good work!
  • Good job. I mostly agree with your choices. But I'm very dairy and nightshade intolerant, so I don't think dairy or potatoes are something I'm missing out on ;-). It seems like I actually a eat like the vertical diet plan. Lots of meat, bones, offal and animal fats and rice for carbs and some easy to digest fruits and vegetables.

A tierlist based beyond comprehension. I went in expecting it to honestly be shitty and misleading but according to what I have learned thus this seems really spot on.

A vegetarian could live like a standard vegan & consume all the processed food they want (like my mom). A ketoer could reduce the veggies, do lazy keto or clean. so I agree there's just so many variables and too many rules. Best to just try and eat little processed, nutritionally dense foods. Unharmful things that support & protect our body. But you also want that flexibility so you have the bad/stressful stuff to challenge the immune system, so it strengthens. With this as well, theres no one size fits all, depends on how and what you're body is capable of handling.

This video is almost perfect. Two nit picky things. I wish they you had mentioned a paleo diet that puts more focus on 'sourcing' and low atrazine plus grass fed ruminants. You can also call this a 'low xenoestrogen' exposure diet. Another missed diet that been gaining traction for years that I would put into the A or B tier is the snake juice diet. Basically it's created by Cole Robinson (he has a youtube channel) and it's a picture of fasting and OMAD. When you do the OMAD Cole recommends simple whole foods, lots of meat and NEVER mixing fat and carbs. The fasting part also uses salt water mix to keep electrolytes up during long fasts. There's also some dry fasting mixed in. The only reason I'd put it in B is that it's hard to follow for a lot of people and I also haven't expiremented with it enough to say it's an A or and S diet. Keep doing what you're doing guys. Love the channel!!

Pretty good video. Of course, it's tough to make a video like this without being controversial as everybody has an opinion. My main criticism is that you ranked carnivore diet way too high -- that diet is extremely dogmatic and cultish... not to mention unsustainable for long term health. It can be good temporarily though. No way a person is better off eliminating all plants and herbs.

I think a Weston A Price and Ray Peat style diet is pretty good. I keep learning though.

I appreciate you playing Pumpkin Hill, Sonic Adventure 2 is a great game.

Personally the most enjoyable diet that seems to work for me is for carb sources I like white Rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and refined pasta noodles (lower in anti nutrients, fiber is a lie anyway and I’m not super sensitive to gluten) GI (glycemic Index) in food don’t matter when combined with fats and protein. I like to try and refrigerate my food for 12-24th a before eating to boost resistant starch (prebiotics) content. Diary I like Greek yogurt (probiotics with good amount of protein) kefir (if you already get enough protein and want max probiotics), cheese, cream and milk. Meats I honestly focus on Red Meats due to higher and better bioavailable heme iron so for me I usually do beef (ruminant animals are superior) but will have other types of meat like chicken and pork sometimes. Fat sources for me are Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Ghee, Butter and Coconut Oil. (2 parts coconut oil to 1 part EVOO makes for a killer hair mask). Also I put spices into my food and use tomato sauce that uses while peeled tomatoes. Sometimes I’ll have treats when out with friends and enjoy life but at home I dont have any of that garbage.
