Talking to the engineers and designers is a huge plus for me.

I love that Jay is a car guy - not a petrol head or tree hugging EV lover. This honest, pragmatic review style is what we need!
  • as a fellow automotive engineer in Detroit for decades, I love this no frills straight talk from the engineers. There is no shame in describing challenges that sales/marketing MBAs like to hide. Keep 'em coming Jay!
  • @mattlau
Love these reviews. All substance, not style. No loud intros, 1 hour long cinematic shots or clickbait. Just a true, genuine review of a popular car with the head engineers behind it.
  • Jay's channel is an old school heaven for reviewing cars. He had the designer and the chief mechanic of the car invited and not some PR guy. Jay is the last of the Mohicans of "car guy era" that gives its place to an IG and TikTok reviewers of bling bling garbage.
  • @mtnmecca_ej
One of the best reviews of this car and zero mentions of the CEO. Finally getting the engineering as the focus - thank you!

What I love about Jay’s garage is that I can listen and don’t have to keep looking at the screen. Jay does a great job of explaining automotive history without needing visuals.

Thank you Franz and Lars for presenting with Jay!!!
  • There is something so nostalgic and wholesome that I just love about Jay Leno's garage. Plus the production quality combined with simplicity is fantastic! Thank you Jay for sticking with us on YouTube!

Jay Leno is a true car lover, this channel is so much better than all the car reviewers trying so hard and hating on Tesla

Love Jays Garage. Always learn something and he gets into every type of car, truck, old, new...always enjoy his guests too.

Tesla engineer: we put 500 hours into figuring out how to strengthen, lighten, and sound proof our glass all at once. Jay: yeah the steering wheel is smaller isn’t it
  • @oleston
I appreciate Jay's pressure on the roaster development. ;)
  • @FrankOClark
Absolutely. Fabulous to hear these two describe what they have done with this car.
  • @evolv.e
My 2014 Model S has 161k+ miles as of this post and still performs like new. By far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Thank you Tesla. And thank you Jay for featuring so many great cars on your channel.
  • @charrin9086
This is another thing that makes Tesla great- Head engineer, designer coming on a show like this, talking about the car that they are obviously passionate about. Thanks Jay!
  • @ProbeGT2
Everytime jay says it's 40k you can see the huge smile on the guys saying in their heads "not this one but thanks for the publicity!"
  • @scottthomas1088
That is amazing to have both the designer and the engineer to be able to talk about the production of the car. Thanks for the video Jay!!

REALLY ENJOYED the Designer & the Engineers perspective & explanations. I have a 2018 M3 and this makes me want to purchase a new one although I will be waiting for the "Refresh Y" as we need an easier entrance/exit from the vehicle as we are old ;) The explanations of how things work blew me away!!
