🤦♂️ Due to a packing mishap, I forgot my wide-angle zoom and medium zoom lenses. But no worries! This challenge pushed me to get creative and focus on the incredible details and unique perspectives our remaining lenses could capture.
🚐🏕️ We also take the camper van for a few nights, enjoying the tranquillity of camping in this breathtaking area. From the lush forest floors to the mesmerizing waterfalls, I make the most of my limited gear and still come away with fantastic shots.

Adam, I have to tell you that you've been a very important person in my life, virtually speaking. I've been watching your videos since COVID times, where many shitty things happened in my life. But I've always been able to watch your videos, and enjoy your humor, your respect for nature, your awesome photography, your ability to help others. We're about the same age, and in some way, I see us as having parallel journeys. So anyway, my deepest respect, best wishes, and thank you. very much.

That 'limitation' worked a treat with those first photos. Solved the log problem nicely.
-
Nicely reminiscent of the old videos Adam, with the drone work. You used to do some fantastic introductions to videos like that. Great image of the trees framing the slender waterfall. Thank you. Stay safe.
-
I'm a fan of compressed images. Being from Northeast Texas, where a wide landscape is rare... shooting compressed images to find interesting subjects, is the norm. Loved this video.
-
Another great video, Adam 👍🙂

I always really enjoy your videos mate. You're such a boss in the forests and your years of experience really show. I do love the image with the compressed trees, such a cool effect.

Sunday mornings with Adam...pretty fine. Great modeling for using what you've got...no excuses. Nice results. Thanks!
-
It‘s a fine case of „taking what you have got!“ Thank you very much for this one, Adam. Beautiful images with the long lenses, indeed. I mistly like the ones with the 4 different trees combined. Kind regards, Martin

Left your lenses at home! Now I don't feel so bad. LOL

Mr. Gibbs, Thank you for years of outstanding photography videos. I am visiting Vancouver Island for six weeks this coming fall. Usually, my routine is early morning, mid-day rest, or forest shots, then evening. I am a little worried about bears, especially walking in the woods at dusk and dawn. As a native of the area, how are the Bears?
-
Great thoughts Adam, as always!
-
I love stacked tree trunk shots, they're fun to spot and don't really require a lot of finesse.. either it's there or it's not. Plus it justifies lugging the long lens.
-
An accidental one-lens challenge! It'll be much funnier a few years from now ;-) I love the drone work through the trees. Nice images! When I saw the pencil-thin waterfall, I actually pictured a portrait image in my mind. I like what you captured at @ 10:55. Thanks for taking us along, cheers!

Adam’s new mantra…Check my bag….Check my bag….Check my bag 😂 On the plus side loving the inclusion of drone footage again. I think it really adds to the vlogs 🙂 You could’ve used the wideangle lens on the drone for a photo or two. Amazes me the quality of such small sensors these days.

Very nice Adam. Sometimes we have to improvise. I've left valuable equipment at home before. Night lens when shooting The milky way, tripod and card reader when I went to Paris. Yeah, we make due when we have to. 😁 I think makes us better photographers. Lovely images!!

Dear Adam, Holly Brian, I am used to this kind of missed note (our age or wisdom? ;): to “forget” a key lens (recently my Fuji 16mm 24eq f1.4, perfect for Milky Way in Tuscany…) and being aware of my “mis-take” when on location, far from Home… usually a source of creativity, like yours (stunning composition with the texture of these two trees: to give a chance to b&w editing?). Just let it go & move forward. Looking forward to seeing your compositions under constraints the day after…
-
Having to be creative by accident can turn out to be a good thing! Though I think you should give Brian a hat for messing with his day!
-
Those look like the two feet of a Tyrannosaurus Rex on the left at 13:25. Maybe next time!
-
Nice work - why not make a mini series and go out on purpose with „only the wrong lense“ ?

Hold up Adam, no more FLM tripods now? Kingjoy giving you much joy i see!
