  • Making oils101, oil is heated to just simmer then turn off immediately and let herbs infuse (hence ‘infused oil’) until cool and then filter and decant. A tasty recipe is 1 tsp dried rosemary, oregano, basil, 1 tsp garlic and a pinch of chilli flakes❤️✨

If you size up the coasters you could make a home made glass chess board.

Unpopular opinion, but I miss when you and Becky would do videos together. I love that your channel is growing and you are able to do your own videos (and I understand the necessity as well) but I would still like to see videos of both of you together as well on this channel.

One of my favorite go-to wedding gifts is taking Pyrex/other glass baking dish and etching the couple’s new name + wedding date or “est. 20xx” on it with etch cream. Has always gone over well and no excuses for losing your casserole dish at a potluck 😂 So many uses with etch cream!!

What if the entire sorry girls team did a secret Santa but diy and everyone had to film their project and we guess who it’s for(:
  • @Housewarmin
Can y’all film a video introducing y’all’s team and what each of them does on the sorry girls team?

My mum makes spicy olive oil (its perfect to put on pizza). She puts some chili pepper, garlic, black pepper... in a bottle, fills it with the oil and lets it sit for some days/weeks. It's really easy, you just need a bottle with a cap that doesnt let the herbs out and you can put anything you feel like or have around!

The tea in the drawer cracked me up 🤣👏🏻👏🏻

I don’t know how you guys make it but I’m always skeptical about your choices (like I was rooting for the square pallet) but you always make it work perfectly and I end up loving it more than my original choices

Just to clarify -- the bacteria which causes botulism is primarily found in soil. The risk of using fresh herbs/garlic is that they can be contaminated with spores which then thrive because of the water released in the oil. So use caution when preparing something intended to be stored for a while with fresh herbs and especially garlic.

Guys I’m Italian, and we use olive oil basically in everything. But one thing I know is that you don’t have to use oil after it is cooked (or if it reaches boiling temperatures) because it can be very toxic! Check with the one you used! (You still can do infused oil, you can add your herbs and let it rest for a couple of weeks at room temperature)

I love the chaos these are indeed gifts that people actually want and are also such good ideas overall!
  • @susanneely5810
I've used the etching cream for years. I was taught that after the etching time has passed, the excess can be scraped off and put back in the bottle before washing off the surface. It does save etching cream, since it can be expensive, and can last longer.

Loved everything! Great ideas! Small idea, for the oils you can add a sprig of Herb, you’re using, eg. Rosemary, basil, garlic glove, coloured peppers… Advice, after sterilization of the jars put them in a hot oven to dry out, 250. By blow drying you contaminated the jars. Enjoy you both! You could pair one olive with a balsamic vinegar that’s what I have done. I also have made my own vinegars too.

In college (in the industrial design department) for warming up clay, we would stick it in a sealable bag and place inside a crockpot with warm water. That way you could spend your time and strength sculpting instead of warming the clay. Just be sure to have a separate crockpot so you don't get clay in your cooking!
  • @meganshade4796
Just a heads up that using a hair drier to dry bottles reintroduces contaminants! (Food safety nerd over here )
  • @MediocreAtBest.
I relate to Kelsey's chaotic energy while cooking a little too hard 👩‍🍳
  • @Iamtheartists
In traditional pottery it’s the grog (basically small stones) that make the speckles ☺️
