Appreciate the compelling and crisp intro to Bioenergetics. Have watched many hundreds of hours of Peat/Bioenergetics sphere, and this is one of the best!

I personally think that a person cannot have carbs without potassium. Because any time I eat pure sugar or pasta, or white rice, I start craving potassium rich foods, like tomato sauce, vegetables, fruit etc. And fat storage could work as blanket to keep body and its organs warm. Because human temperature is very different from the environment, so a lot of heat is often needed.

Great interview. Love Jay feldman. Regarding the calories people used to eat and currently eat is this both for men and women? I would love to know how many calories a typical woman should be eating. For example I am 57 years old and I weigh 150 and I'm trying to lose 10 pounds. Assuming I am eating exactly in this manner that Jay discusses I'm wondering how many calories I would need to eat? And I'm moderately active. I'm 5'4. I realize there are other health factors to consider but just wondering in general for like a guideline if anyone knows.😊
  • Most people have plenty of energy stored on their body. Short periods without food help tap that fat. Eating all the time will make most people fat. Eating a lot won't as long as you space out your eating window.

Just wondering if it would be possible to eat a healthy diet without meat?
  • @Carbsforgains
It’s definitely not an animal based diet. Chill with all that. Lol
