So, I'm gonna be that person and say this to people visiting or wanting to visit Mexico: Regardless of spirit related things, don't ever take things from the ruins please, I think that's so disrespectful. :( I'm saying this as a person from Mexico, please respect the places you visit, follow the rules and enjoy the views. The continuity of some of these stories is horrible. The hotel story stated that Sam the grounds person had a heart attack and died on the grounds but shortly afterwards its also stated that only one person died at the hotel and it was not Sam?

When you have a haunted object - never burn it! Pack it up nicely and give to you favourite frenemy. Live the soon-to-be ex-boyfriend who was left stranded... he deserved it btw. Don't use people for sex just to dump them soon after, that's just not ok even when the girl wasn't the best person, either. Nobody is throwaway-stuff.

For the gals sucking water off the side of the highway, using a piece of cloth (like your soaking wet clothes) to soak up water from different sources would've provided plenty of water. Clothing would've also provided a filter to clean collected water. For anyone with an older car, make an Emergency Water Kit of a funnel, gallon jug of water, cheese cloth (filtration), wool or felt cloth (soaking), unlubricated condoms (they hold a great deal of water without breaking😁) and an empty container to hold everything and collect rainwater. You'll never have to suck water from rumble strips on the side of the highway.

The OP states that they didnt have cellphones because it was the time when they just came out but then how did they make the call to their friend who advised about their pee working in the radiator???????? I have been to Cancun and went to Isla Mujeres and that was the single hottest place I have ever been in my life... I remember going into even really nice businesses with only board shorts and flip flops bc it is far too hot to wear shirts literally anywhere there. The place was amazing though and I highly recommended it as a day trip if you are ever in Cancun. We rented these legit “James Bond” type 2 person mini speedboats and raced them through the mangrove mazes for hours. Fucking amazing good time!
