Some of the dopest food I've ever gotten in my life, man Cebu blew my mind. It's incredible to see how diverse Filipino cuisine is and I feel super lucky to have experienced it on my 14 day trip in the Philippines. It's definitely a place that takes a special place in my heart, and I'll forever remember the great bites and people I've met along the way. I love you Philippines and see you soon :-) ❤️🇵🇭

Forever take a special place in my heart 🇵🇭❤
  • Whoever did the research for the places where to eat deserves a raise! the places you eat at in the Philippines are 10/10!!! the best representation of the food here in the PH!!!!

I want to say thank you so much for this video. What could've been a "take some b-roll of street markets for views" became an homage to the culture. It is almost normal to see videos of tourists show obvious disgust when approaching filipino food let alone eating it. Instead, you came at each vendor with grace. You have my respect and thanks.

No ONE has ever made this type of food and travel content;usually it's condensed into a 30 minute vlog. Thank you, Tina. AMAZING!
  • I'm a local. Thank you so much for this beautiful video. I'm glad that you like your stay here in Cebu.

I was born in Cebu in 1976 before moving to Los Angeles in 88. The food scene was so much different when I was growing up. I think it was simpler and the ingredients were more authentic. The one thing that nobody can take away is our style of lechon because I believe we have the world's best lechon chefs. Thank you for loving my homeland and I appreciate your work♥👏
  • This is the best feature of Cebu I have ever seen. Ever. Not even Filipinos do it this good, this authentic, this well-researched. Shows real local knowledge. Shows heart, Dooby. First time leaving a comment on your video I think. Just wanted you to know I realllllyyy appreciate this video. I’ve lived here for 18 years. I felt my culture represented well in your video and I learned even more about it too. Thank you.
  • I love that Tina is not really sensitive with small things like flies etc.. she really knows how to respect other cultures.. a real asian woman. Thank you Tina for visiting my motherland... been a fan of you since pandemic. Looking forward to your future contents🤍

this is one of the best filipino food vlogs done by a foreigner. you can really see the amount of research done by the team, and that shows how authentic and genuine and respectful you are to our country. all of the food you have tried is spot on when it comes to filipino food representation. thank you so much 🥺💕
  • From a Cebuana who’s living outside of the country and really misses home at the moment. Thank you for showcasing Cebu at its best, this video just made me even more homesick but it also made me look forward to go home and just re-discover all the old food hunts and add in new ones. Thank you tina for reminding me why I love my city so much. ❤
  • I absolutely love how raw, authentic and how you truly immersed in the local scene. So, so fun to watch. Even us locals will learn so much from your videos.
  • @gabyd.6050
I’m happy you’re actually immersing yourself in the filipino markets like a local. This is like a fever dream, you in philippines but this content is so authentic, I enjoy it a lot ❤
  • @Donn2k
now this is how you do a food content in PH as a foreigner. With proper representation and research! Not those typical "clickbait food vlogs" wherein they eat everything they set their eyes upon and call it the best food the Philippines has to offer.
  • These past two videos have felt like such a love letter to PH. As a Fil-Am who has has yet to go home, it is so touching to see one of my favorite Youtubers care so much about research and respect towards our food and culture! Thank you so much for this!!!!!
  • Best part of this, she knows HOW to eat Filipino food. Some vloggers would come and won't even bother to ask how to eat the food then complain that they don't like it.
  • @Matt-uu9lz
Silent subscriber here. Honestly, there really aren't many documentaries that showcase the beauty and appeal of the Philippines. Big props to you for doing this!! Hope many more people see how awesome the Philippines is. Thanks for showing the world this! :)
  • You're not just a foreigner/tourist now, but you're already an honorary Filipino. Thank you for immersing yourself with the people and taking time to explore our food. Filipino food is not mostly known because the essence of what Filipino food is like shared home cooked meals eaten together by families in one table. Thank you dooby!
  • @Jfree_M.
You're getting popular here in the Philippines specially when you featured the Cebu series of vlogs. In fact, you're getting pretty and prettier each day you come out with a new vlog. Just enjoy Philippines!
