Using yarn and fabric inclusions in the body of the weaving adds extra interest and excitement to the woven fabric.
I later made this fabric into a vest. You can see it at blog.geneblack.com/2014/03/sewing-it-up.html

Oh! I loved every second of this! When I got my floor loom my intention was to weave pieces like this and, now, I'll know how. I am getting a rigid heddle for traveling in our trailer. I became homesick for my loom and am in hopes this will help appease me in the weeks away from home. Thank you. Your scarf is exceptionally beautiful.

I'm a fledgling weaver and am in love with your beautiful method. Thanks for sharing with us.

This was so incredibly useful. I'm learning on my own through tutorials and craftsy; I can't wait to try this technique with my hand-me-down loom!

Thank you for your reply and will be going back to your video for more instructions. Cheers from Guam!

What a beautiful work of art, thank you for showing me how versatile weaving can be. It is truly only limited by your imagination. I can't wait to try the technique of adding different types of fiber to what is woven. You are a true artist and I look forward to creating my own, one of a kind, work of art. Something I only dreamed about doing since my view of art was limited to painting or drawing both I have zero talent for. With this one video, you have opened up my world to a whole new way of being artistic and creative. More amazing still, it is something that is tactile and can be experienced with not only your eyes but through touch. Used even, that is a true gift. Thank you so very much, for sharing this artistic gift with everyone.

Hi Gene, just ordered a rigid heddle loom and after watching your video I am very excited to try out your techniques. Thank you so much for a very informative video and can only hope that one day I can create something as beautiful as you have. Never have tried weaving and I know this will be a fantastic adventure. Thanks again.

That looks like so much fun! After I finish the scarf on my rigid heddle, I am going to try this technique. I use clasped weft in tapestry but never for this sort of piece. Very inspiring!

Great instruction, thanks. I am a spinner about to get into wild weaving. Amazing technique.

Thank you so much for this video - I am new to the weaving, having received a Rigid Heddle loom at Christmas - love this and will be trying it thanks to you :)
