Greatly appreciate what you do for our YouTube community-sharing vital information about the great lie, big Pharma has been pushing since the sixties. Thank you, Dr. Ali, for sharing this information...GB!

My Vitamin D level was low when I was taking statins. Was also prediabetic, Have been off statins for 2+ years and LDL has increased. TG/HDL is great.

Although my CAC score was 0, my total cholesterol was high so my doc wanted to keep me on a statin. I said NO and he got mad. My HDL was 94!
  • I'm diabetic. My Doctor recently told me to take tablets for cholesterol even without doing any tests. He said it will protect my kidneys and the heart. But I didn't take.

the title "Is high cholesterol & high LDL cholesterol good for you?" under represents the key aspects of chol, statins, brain, etc discussed by Dr Ali. learned much in a short video (which was kind of cut off at the end).

Dr. Nadir, U earned my Respect and a LIKE on this video and also a New Subscriber...ME. Everything U mentioned is quite interesting because ALL my life I and many many others have been lead to believe otherwise, basically lied to all our lives. Thanks so very much for sharing this knowledge and FACTS. Cheers ! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

Excellent information. My LDL is 147, my doctor prescribed medicine and now I have a nutritionist to follow my diet!

7 years keto / carnivore ... I used to get 3 - 5 colds per year... since quitting carbs I've had 3 colds, 2 mild, 1 moderate, and one bout of COVID (guessing it was), that was moderate. No symptoms from Delta, which my wife had and coughed all over me for weeks. My LDL is 313. In 2016 it was 190. So... high LDL has correlated with drastic reduction in susceptibility to viral and bacterial infection for me. Causal? There's reason to think so... see David Diamond's recent talks citing studies that show LDL attaches to gram negative bacteria (the bad ones in your gut) and holds them for white cells to neutralize. Keto also raises gamma interferon, according to Dr. David Harper, which is a powerful anti viral cytokine. So.. more reason to think Keto will improve your resistance to pathogens.

I've always had high LDL. Now 59 years old, still have high LDL (around 314 mg/dL on last test), no diagnosable signs of CVD, never had a seasonal flu, only ever had flu once which was the swine flu outbreak a few years ago, colds last maybe 24 hours. My vegetarian wife has those same colds for 2+ weeks. I don't know if it was my high LDL protecting me, and I don't wear it proudly like a medal or boast about it, but so far it has not been causative of any medical condition for me. Since going low carb, my LDL did go up, but my triglycerides dropped hugely from 360 to around 60, and my HDL is higher than my triglycerides.

Fasting in general makes your LDL go up as well, because your body use your fat as fuel.
