This Ben guy seems like a stand up Dad. He's thorough and transparent. In the event I decide to go the EV route with my next vehicele - it will be because of Ben's review. It's nice to see a real world account of EV ownership.

As a fellow Lightning SR owner with a family of 4, I love seeing Ben's content! It really shows how practical and flexible the Lightning is for a family.

Glad you had a nice trip. And good to see the F-150 charged well at the Superchargers. Hopefully that will continue. My thought is that Tesla will become the Exxon, Mobil, Shell, etc. of EV charging. BTW, we have a new V4 Supercharger going in by me. V4 has the long cables and in some stalls they put the charging stand right in the middle so the spot works for Tesla and non-Teslas,

More like this! Ben did a great job. Let’s see more family road trip type videos for us families!

Wow that is awesome on a standard range Lightning. We need more people to long there charging sessions like this so we can show how this is very possible. Sounds like form some comments it was even cheaper than a gas V-150, I do wonder how the efficiency is for a gas F-150 with 40 mph winds. In a short drive I was in win like that in my F-150 and it was like 11 mpg and that was under 80 mph, which is the speed on the I-15 in southern Utah.

Please continue with more of your videos. I prefer your series over the other Out of Spec channels, as I’m always learning something new from you & Ryan. Also prefer your demeanor.

Awesome video Ben! You are a good dad my friend! Also having a family and an EV, this was a great video. I’ve done Road Trips without the kids in our Ioniq 5 because of charger anxiety. Feel better watching this and always planning my route. I’ve got V2L and I didn’t think about having a mini kitchen with it on the road.

Thanks Ben and the whole family for showing how you can experience a fun vacation in an EV. And with the growing non-Tesla access to the huge Tesla charging network, you can take the type of vehicle you need on an easy and fun trip. Cheers and well done on the video, it's the communication and presentation style Ben showed that made the video work.
  • Thank you. I'm planning a road trip this coming summer, and I won't be stopping at an EA station.

Nice to see a dirty truck! All the trucks, Jeeps and Broncos around here are squeaky clean.
  • @kurtstype7468
Excellent job - thanks for sharing that experience! Hope to meet you one of those days on a Road Trip or Ford meetup in our Lariat ER - it’s is a fantastic machine to travel in.
  • @p6picasso
Brilliant! He's a natural! More 'real' user road trips please!

If Ford can get 450 miles with a 15 min. charge, to 80%, they would be selling these like hotcakes. Tesla knows that the key to the kingdom is through charging. Great Vid. Thanks.
  • @darinbrazil5496
One thing we have been trying to do is find charging at our place we are staying at and charging over night at even lower rates than DC fast charging. Sometimes the hotel gives the charging as complimentary although the complimentary charging seems to be going away.
  • @ahbushnell1
I'm surprised. I have a rivian and I just planned a trip from denver to st. george and the only EA stop is in green river. (I have the tesla adapter. NIce video.
