The fact that he was drinking and partying all night and still managed to locked down the best centers in the game is beyond impressive.

Dennis "The missing piece" Rodman. The man was exactly what both the pistons and the bulls needed when he joined those respective teams.

One of the oldest statements in basketball is "Offense makes the highlight reels, but defense wins the game". Rodman was living proof of this statement.

You could pass too much. You can shoot too much, but you can never rebound too much.

Dennis is the best role player of all time in my opinion. Not just because he’s one of the best rebounders, hustlers, and outlet passers but because he actually made the other players play worse. His off the ball defensive antics are legendary. Dennis got in plenty of fights but wouldn’t actually punch you. He would just piss you off until you shoved him or tried to punch him and then he knew he was in your head. You’re more worried about how to hit him back without getting caught rather than focusing on your game. Bro was like poison to opposing players.

Dude helped his team out so much without even scoring

"He was relatively short in high school 5'11" Me: Cries in 5"4😭

He was my role model when i was a kid during high school intramurals…. My father told me since all your teamates want to score and do the offense why dont you get the rebounds and play defense with heart.
  • Didn't realize it then but I'm so blessed to have lived to see him play.

The Ultimate rare breed player that didn't care about scoring. All Dennis wanted to do on the court was to play tough defense, hustle, rebound, and get in your head.

Dennis is the prime example of a man who had tremendous heart, and relentless motor. Getting rebounds is all effort, especially on the offensive end, the fact Dennis statistically outrebounded Russel and Wilt is absolutely insane…
  • the fact that he had MJ running around Vegas like the hangover looking for him showcases how good Rodman actually was.
  • @marces668
We'll have another MJ sooner than we'll have another rodman

How his body never gave out on him and the amount of stamina he had was unreal. Dude never got hurt and he definitely put in the work.
  • i'm glad this video touched on his Bball IQ - I feel like that was Rodman's most underappreciated asset. I honestly believe Rodman could go down as one of the best assistant coaches of all time. His ability to analyze the game and focus extensive hours on each players is unreal.

My dude went from 5"11 to 6"7 in one year from 19 to 20 cuzz is a beast straight Superman ,rebound legend
  • @InvestBetter.
Dennis Rodman was exactly this good: He could've went his entire career without scoring a single point. He's still an EASY first-ballot Hall of Famer.
  • 2:50 I greatly appreciate that you took the time to mention how defense takes more effort and willpower than offense. too often it's looked at as being easier, or just overlooked because it isn't as flashy. there is a reason that there are fewer great defenders than there are great offensive players, it's more difficult and takes more skill and brainpower.
