Kareem’s sky hook is the most pretty thing I have ever seen

Kareem by far has the best resume in basketball history from high school, college & pros
  • Im so jealous of the people who got to see him live in his prime. Watching old videos doesn’t do it justice

If you wanna see Kareem’s greatness, look at Bucks’ record year before he was drafted vs rookie year and look at Bucks’ record during time he was injured in 75 vs rest of that season. Then realize he had 12 more years as an efficient volume scorer while serving his positional role of a rim protector and board machine after that Bucks stretch.

When it comes to Kareem, Russell, Wilt, Shaq...does it even matter? It's just a matter of taste at that point. All four centers would be in the 10 best basketball players of all time. Any of them give you a great chance of winning.

The thing that was amazing about his skyhook was the range on it. He was accurate with that thing from 15-20’, not just in the post, and if an off defender fell asleep he’d fake the hook and dump it down low to a cutter for an easy layup. He was an outstanding passer, defender, even FT shooter, there were no holes in his game.

I was a teenager when Michael Jordan was in his heydays. In spite of everyone around me having Jordan fever, I idolized and emulated Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I tried really hard to perfect my hook shot. Abdul-Jabbar is a TRUE LEGEND.
  • Add the fact that as a freshman (when he was ineligible to play) he took the freshman team at UCLA and beat the NCAA Championship UCLA team....a hardly known fact.
  • This video made me look at Jabbar in a different light. He is the GOAT to me because he was dominant for so long.

The grace of his skyhook is unmatched
