Has anyone else been watching the "Winning Time" series on HBO?

That performance in game 6 of the 1980 finals is unreal. To switch from a point guard to a center as a rookie and drop 40, unbelievable.

I don’t think anyone can ever top Magic as the greatest point guard ever, he started winning since the beginning, won FMVP in his Rookie year, he’s won so many accolades but the most impressive part is he did it in such a short time in only 13 seasons

It's a shame the world didn't know enough back then about HIV, he could've had an even more impressive career. His career lasted only 11 years and he reached 9 finals and won 5 rings. Just insane.

THE GREATEST PG of All time. AT 6'9 he did it all. Salute to Magic

Magic brought excitement, and real joy and happiness to basketball. If I am drafting a team, he is the first player I would choose.
  • He is just a Gem of a person You can see why he had so much game on and off the court just a lot of good energy

His famous quote before that 6-th game, "Don't fear, Magic is here" 😅😅

Magic is in my top Five. It's a shame we shine so much light on Jordan, LeBron and Kobe not taking anything from them we all know they are top players. But the quality that Magic mastered before all of them was leadership. Yes he had the great Kareem there with him when he came in the lead but this guy as a rookie point guard won the NBA championship in his first year at the age of 20. And then won 4 more championships. And he didn't play as many years as other stars did. Magic to me is underrated.

If Magic would have stayed another season after his second retirement, he would have played with Shaq & Kobe.
  • @pint.
He's so good that we forgot that his real name is Earvin

He's hands down, best point guard ever. Just like MJ is best shooting guard ever. There's no debate there. That's how good he was
  • I have been waiting for this episode since I saw Larry Bird's episode. I hope to see many more forgotten, underappreciated or legendary players that you will make an episode for in the future. Keep up the great work!😁

Even with a shorter career he’s a top 10 player of all time

I grew up a fan of the Showtime Lakers, so I'm biased, but I would say that Magic certainly deserves to be in the conversation for best player ever. I totally get that the title probably goes to MJ or LBJ, but Magic rates a place in that conversation. (So does Larry Bird, who I had the utmost respect for even when they were battling the Lakers during those championship series.)
  • Magic has a legitimate case to be the GOAT, imo. He's right up there with Chamberlain, Jordan, James, & Jabar.
