You've probably heard of Mario coinless runs or the collect all the coins challenge in Super Mario games. These "Is It Possible" type challenges construct a meta game within the overarching game making it way more difficult, but super entertaining. Since so many people have been focused on not touching a single coin or collecting them all, I thought it'd be interesting to take a different spin: Is it possible to beat Super Mario 64 if every object is a coin? Actually, you can argue in favor that the Boo holding the entrance to Big Boo's Haunt is less of an enemy and more of a painting/level warp. Yes, you can attack it and it can deal damage to you, but because it is essentially a level warp, I don't think you should count it toward the objects listed as 'coinable', else every painting in the game is grounds for becoming a coin, and that would literally make the game unplayable.

This video gets so absurd at times, I love it. "For this star we'd normally take the bus, but we can't because the bus is a coin. For this star we need to tie Mario's shoelaces.But we can't do that, because Mario's shoes are a coin. For this star we need to eat the pie Mario's grandma makes for him, but we can't do that, because Mario's grandma... Is a coin!"

Tbh, I feel that Mips and Star Toads should have been immune from the coin curse because they directly give you a star or spawn a star. It’s not like the penguin mom in that you need A and B to get a star from B. It’s just, grab or talk to and receive. Directly from the source. It’s like the Jolly Roger bay chests.

Also, if the bosses were coins, you wouldn't be able to collect that star that you had to jump off of the Whomp King for, because he's a coin

I think immunity to big boo's haunt was appropriate, since literally removing an entire level from the game doesn't sit well with me. :p
