I have dogs, I have had dogs most of my 68 years. Dogs are dogs, not humans. The problem is humans try to humanize dogs. People try to think that their dog is just another family member or just like another human. They are not human...no matter how much you want them to be. Never fault a dog for being a dog.

My oldest was mauled by a family member's dog unprovoked at age 3. (And before anyone argues with me that she had to have done something to the dog, there were multiple witnesses.) She had an emergency 4hr surgery and later, had to have two reconstructive surgeries for her lip. I cringe when big dogs are around small children. They don't belong together.

Dogs can bite each other and not do damage. But an infant baby is far too fragile. It's bad when the dog starts thinking of the infant as one of them.

I cringe everytime I see a video with a dog beside a young child. Stop treating your dogs like they are people . A dog is not a "big brother" to a baby. You are not their "mommy" and "daddy". You are the parents of a human child.

Where were the parents.? Didnt the baby cry or scream? Something is not right with this story. Also you do not leave a newborn alone with a dog. Also mom seems nonchalant about it all

Dogs just shouldn’t be around babies. Even some siblings don’t need to have access to children. Jealousy is dangerous. No matter the species
