If you're a Guns n' Roses fan and watch this, you'll be happy.
  • (Tune down 1/2 step) Many changes made to this one! -Tempo is slower in the beginning -Tones are a little better -Bass sounds better (imo) -Many tab corrections. I checked out an isolated track. -Position changes based on how Slash teaches it himself -Outro tempo is faster (216 instead of 208 bpm) It sounds like he pinches the notes in the interlude section. Either that or his amp is on crank because I'm hearing overtones in those notes on the studio recording. I tried some takes with pinch harmonics and it didn't quite sound the same. So I played it like he does live. My wrist is healing but very slowly. I'm treating it with heat, ice, exercises, and it goes into a splint at night time. I have good days and bad days. And I've managed to get back into playing guitar with only minor set backs. Enjoy! Are there any more songs on the page that you think I should redo? Leave a comment below!
  • this might be the hardest slash solo, and he recorded with 19 years, this guy is an absolute legend

Slash is a blue's player really, kind of a cross between Page, Gilmour, and a tiny sprinkle of Eddie Van Halen. I don't know why but YouTube won't even let me upload performances of these old songs, or even part of the song showing people how to play them, even gave me a warning strike. And yet there is a large number of such videos. Strange.

  • Not many in the world can capture slash's energy and maintain the flow and make it look easy......damn fine job son!!!

Learning all the widdling away solo stuff in the last part of this song must have been painful, jeez credit to you man!
  • @Yoshi-Mooch
Dude. Seriously. Are you for real? This is amazing. I’m 40 been listening to GNR since I was 10. This sparks serious joy watching and hearing this. MF’N subbed.
  • This sounds exactly like the record! I think you’re the best channel on YouTube for guitars
  • @thenoodler
Imagine the Engineer at the console when this was recorded. He probably thought it was going to be another terrible band with no talent coming in to waste his time. Just imagine hearing this live in the room for the first time, he probably crapped his pants. Slash must have been just jamming blues based pentatonic licks for like 10 hours a day over multiple years leading up to this iconic recording.
  • @theKid87
Great Playing! Slash's outro solos on this record are amazing. Your cover of Nightrain is top notch too!
  • I have been waiting for this remake ever since you did sweet child, thank you so much 🤘
  • @luisflorida3462
I remember guitar magazines in the late 80s would have polls for the best guitarist and he would always be first place. This was when Steve Vai, Satriani, Ray Vaughn, and Van Halen were in their heyday
  • @Jamescreaney
Really highlights how great Slash was at filling a song up with pure talent.
  • @carmonar83
Flawless!! Best cover/lesson of this song on all YouTube, amazing job!! 🙌👏
