I love my h15! First thing before I even took delivery of it was have the shop install a 160mm airspring and XT 4 pot calipers. I recently put my ripmo wheelset on it with 203 F and R rotors and assegai/dissector and love it!

I picked up a Hydro in April. Love it! Did manage to get a One Up 180mm to work (I’m also 5’8” on a medium).
  • @ibcrypto6139
Been thinking of getting The Rise Hydro. This is a great video! Much thanks!

Hey Jeff I’m a big fan of your riding style and your super entertaining videos, they are really unique. I’m really into doing manuals myself and so I have one question for you, what if you could design the perfect bike for doing manuals on trails, what would be the geometry numbers? for instance how long would you have your chain stay? How slack would you have your head angle? what would be the perfect bottom bracket height and the right reach for a optimal body position while doing manuals?

New bike day for me today..got straight out on the trails on my Rise H30..so much fun, light and really agile. Super bike 🤙🏽
  • @wsl5585
I'm considering an emtb so I can cover more distance in a 1 to 4 hour ride. I'd go with the lighter less powerful emtb. Thanks for displaying this Orbea in action.
  • @uknowjoe1
Great vid, and as usual, the damn wheelies are insane! C'mon, man hit up Clay Shafer with Jenson and do a review on the Rallon!
  • @azonicds
I have had the H15 since may and I'm super impressed by the bike, rides so good and the RS motor is so natural feeling. I only ride it in profile 1, tried 2 but then it lost that natural awesome feeling.
  • I built my own first wheelset with Raceface Arc rims, 28H, J bend, DT Swiss 350 hubs and Sapim Race spokes. It was the best part of my bike build, and I cannot wait until my next full build set. I definitely want to check out coloured aluminum spokes, if not Berd spokes for addes weight reduction. The Berds might be out of my capabilities though.
  • @Shmoodoggy
I'm interested in the Rise as a way to extend my rides, I'm not able to go as far as I did back in the day. They should have called it The Cialis. Sick riding.
  • @bwcdesign
Hey Jeff! thanks for the review on the H Rise. I'm the proud owner of a H15, I'm in north tahoe and trail ride (light enduro) stuff. My daily was a first Gen Hightower current ly set up MX with DPx2 rear, 160mm Fox 36. Love that bike, however the wife bought me the H15 and I'm having a blast! I've just picked up a 160 air spring for the 36 however you got my attention with the BurgTec offset addition to this test bike. Can you speak to the choice of changing the shock offset vs lengthing the fork? I am also running a Renthal 33mm stem. The Rise is just shy of 600mi on the odometer... makes me giggle like a kid, even though I've been riding mtb since '81. Oh as always impressive manuals! My manual game on this bike needs work, wheelies ok, manuals are inconsitiant. :0
  • Orbea really pushed the eMTB world with the original Rise and the Hydro was a great evolution of the Rise lineup to bring similar performance with an eye on pricing. Like you mentioned, there are some limitations to how burly you can get with this bike but we think this is Orbea's test platform for something cool coming that's more related to the Rallon. We don't have the inside scoop on that (yet) but this is our suspicion.
  • got 4 eMTBs and I luv my Spesh Turbo Levo SL as much as I do my Full-Powered. Only gripe I wish for is they give the SL at least 50 nm of torque instead of 35 nm of torque
  • That creakings probably coming from the spindle in the upper linkage, if you take it apart and put some threadlock om the spindle teeth that should stop the creaking
  • @lukenukem1164
You can adjust that linkage with the preload tool that came with the bike, tends to be too tight making it creak. I have a performance elite 160 fork on mine and one offset Bush in the shock. I love the float x shock that's on it.
  • @Roaming50
So your question, I bought a Rise H15. So that's my answer! I put Code RSC brakes/H2 rotors, GX AXS and Reserve SL|30 wheels on mine and it still weighs 46lbs. It's an awesome trail bike, but I will agree that on black diamond technical features the weight is noticeable. I need to build up upper body strength for that. Oh yeah, my upper link creaks bad as well. Haven't pull it apart yet to grease it up...
