The carbon version of the 2023 Orbea Rise doesn't look new, but it is actually quite different to the 2022 bikes. I talk about the most important changes, I ride the bike, I talk a lot about the motor, and I take a quick look at the new settings in the E-tube app.

The bike I tested is a Rise M20 with the 540 Wh battery, that explains the relatively high weight of 19.5 kg. The bike comes standard with a 360 Wh battery and weight should be about 18.6 kg.

Thank you for this shared information, very interesting and also strange. We will see in the next few months how this rattle will be in other bike's.
  • That garmin mount at the top of the stem is a great idea. Perfect for lights and GoPro. The bike (in the UK at least) seems awfully expensive for the spec, though.

What pedals are those ? Can't decide if I want to go oil slick with this bike but I have to decide fast I'll get my rise newt week !

Thank you for putting out info. Suggestion, if it is feasible: Future videos might be understandable if you use a clip on/wireless microphone. Current video cannot hear any speech
  • @vidibites
What pedals do you have here, it matches the frame colour nicely.

have you tried to connect stunlocker to the new Ep801? does it works? i am curious to know it because i would like to use the features of the app. thanks
  • @pearsth

  • @felicetanka
Maybe the wheel is not fastened to the frame, fork properly. Thx

My new rise m10 2023 does not rattle downhill!! Or at least i can't ear it.
  • @TeamCykelhold
interesting. does this mean that it is not possible to upgrade a current EP8 motor to a 801 i wonder? It's only worth doing if the rattle is gone though, so time will tell I guess.
  • It sounds like this rattling issue has more to with cranks than motor. Please advise
  • You’ll be looking forward to the snow clearing for the ultimate side by side test ride. So will all of your followers

Hei. I am thinking of buying a rise m20 or a h30. Will you recommend this bike? I have only had experience with the cube stereo hybrid hpc tm 140 from before.

I know Orbea hasn't been honest with the bike's weight...but it is shocking to know M20 Large with 360wh battery weigh 19.5kg...is it with tubes? right?
