This is a spectacular adventure set in mysterious ancient lands inhabited by incredible creatures! Sinbad (John Phillip Law), Prince of Baghdad and legendary sailor, finds an intriguing map and sets sail for the previously uncharted island of Lemuria with a beautiful slave girl, Margiana (Caroline Munro), and the Grand Vizier of the land of Marabia. Prince Koura (Tom Baker), an evil wizard who is trying to gain control of malevolent spirits, follows in an effort to thwart Sinbad's quest. Sinbad reaches Lemuria in spite of an enchantment Koura casts upon the giant figurehead of Sinbad's ship which brings it to life. On Lemuria, Sinbad and his stalwart crew encounter a six-armed, sword-brandishing statue, a one-eyed centaur and a griffin. Finally, Sinbad confronts Koura in a face-to-face duel to the death!

I was a Pre-Teen when I watched for The 1st Time. And now, I'm an Adult and still enjoy watching it like that 1st Time.
  • These classics will stand the test of time, this, Jason and the Argonauts, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Sinbad Eye of the Tiger.....forever fun movies

First time I saw this adventure movie in 1977 when I was 7 years old in the Soviet Union (Kazakhstan). Now it's 2024 and I enjoy watching it 54😊
  • I can't believe its been 50 years since this came out! I saw it in the theatre in 1974 at age 7 with my younger brother. It was on a double bill with 7th Voyage of Sinbad. They were the first "good" movies that I ever saw in a theatre. Both still hold up today. True classics. Harryhausen was a genius. (Fun note: I actually got to meet Caroline Munro back in 1985... What a thrill THAT was!)
  • Watching these takes me back to childood, such fun and innocent times, seems like a lifetime ago.

I went to the Ray Harryhausen exhibit at the Science museum about 5 years ago every Friday they would play a Ray Harryhausen movie with Q&A afterwards. I bought two tickets one for me and my brother we went to see Clash of The Titans and Ray's daughter was there from Scotland. It was really cool to see Clash of The Titans with his daughter there. After the film we had the Q&A and then we went upstairs to see Ray's Stop Motion puppets from all of His movies. This one was there got the pictures. Best thing was seeing Medusa and the Kraken. The actual mask in this film was really cool too see in person.

I was 12 when this came out and my cousin was working at the local movie theater. It was featured along with the 7th Voyage of Sindbad so I got to watch them both over and over again that summer. It was my introduction to fantasy and the sword and sorcery genera which along with sci-fi is still my favorites to this day and always will be.

I liked all the Sinbad movies, but this one is interesting because it took itself seriously as a movie about fantasy magic.

Love Sinbad. I especially love Patrick Wayne's version, too. J.Phillip Law and Patrick Wayne, both handsome men! And Ray Harryhausen and his special effects is phenomenal!

Aw, man! This one and "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" Deserves a remake. They both are very good. Can you imagine how great those magnificent cretaures should be with benefits of current technology?

Caroline Munro is just too foxy. I wish she had a bigger career, but even in blink-and-you-miss-them cameos in movies like Dr. Phibes, she's just wonderful.

Leading lady (Caroline Monroe) would appear in a James Bond movie, (The Spy Who Loved Me) 3 years after this. She would play the main villain's hench-woman, "Naomi".

I watched this movie with my parents. It brings me back memories. I miss them so much
  • Would be great to see a big budget reboot of these sinbad movies .. Even though it would never be as good
  • That was awesome! These are the favorite movies of my childhood, anything with a Harryhausen monster or two! ❤
