My hobby is looking up the historical jesters when NL gets a legendary. Apparently, Perkeo was a little person who was said to drink six to eight gallons of wine a day. He lived into his eighties, never drinking anything but wine. Then he got sick, the doctor had him drink water, and he passed away. So says wikipedia.
