If Lex had been raised as a musician/instrumentalist she would've gone crazy far with it. Such an instinct for music

The trance-like effect of the drums and underlying melodies, and Robert Plants vocals (along with the fantasy/exotic lyrics) just reels you in. I can get lost in the song. Then the soaring peaks and cymbal crashes and long notes from Plant creates a feeling of exhilaration. They are one of the greatest bands ever, and my personal favorite.

Lex ends with this breakdown of Kashmir. Like spice, dabs of sour cream, and Aladdin. She never disappoints.

This song does a trick that you often see in prog rock and fusion. The music is in 3/4, like a waltz. The drums are in 4/4. They overlap each other to make a complete 12/4 pattern. That’s why sometimes it feels like the snare is on the downbeat. This is why it feels different without being overtly “prog rock.” Kinda nerdy but cool.

John Paul Jones, the bands bassist, was a classically trained musician who brought a lot to their sound despite being the least well known member of the band.

LEGENDS!! I'm 60 now and was privileged to enjoy their talent my whole life. Some before me had Mozart, I had Led Zeppelin.

LZ was comprised of four of the most gifted musicians in rock history. The "orchestra" that you hear was actually just John Paul Jones on a synthesizer; amazing performance.

Zeppelin is THE GREATEST rock band ever. Individually they have influence musicians for decades in genres even outside of rock.

There's a musical reason that it sounds different. The bass/vocals/guitar are on 3/4 time while the drums are on 4/4 time, so they only sync up every 12 measures. It creates a very dramatic effect to the song. This song is a rock anthem for a reason.
