Maestro, sigue usted siendo el más grande. Yo tuve la satisfacción y el honor de escucharle esta misma composición en la catedral de Sevilla en el año 1992. Todavía guardo el librito de presentación con su autógrafo. Gracias, MAESTRO.

so beautiful.with the best soloists ,singers. players and Herreweghe . can`t ask for more
-
Herreweghe has done some really wonderful Bach recordings, and this joins the list.

I prefer this or any Bach works with the period instruments. I was listening to another one before with a great conductor and musicians but when the flute part in Domine Deus came up it sounded so foreign to me. The music is still as beautiful but Traverso sounds better with the singers. Beautiful performance. Thank you for sharing!
-
Beautifully with some great soloists like Alex Potter, Dorothee Mields, Peter Kooij and Guy Cutting.
-
The singers are beautiful ! It is a pity that the sound and video do often not synchronize... could that be solved ?
-
Thank you!

Beautiful, thank you!

There is another upload here of this work with Philippe Herreweghe and the Collegium Vocale & Collegium Vocale Orchestra with a still frame showing "The Sacrifice of Isaac" by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. While this video above is very nice to view because you see them performing in this beautiful venue, I find the other upload mentioned decidedly better musically, and I compared the two versions piece by piece up to and excluding the "Credo" . Judge for yourself, but I therefore didn't bookmark this one.

Surprised that Marcel Ponseele is not playing the oboe....

The choir sounds like a bunch of soloists and not like a choir, especially the sopranos. The hall looks amazing.
