The utility workers themselves are not responsible for what the company they work for decides to do or not to do. So someone trying to harm the workers is just so wrong.
  • If you are angry with Centerpoint then deal with corporate Centerpoint, don’t hurt the hard working people who travel to Houston to help you! What is wrong with people these days?!?

Any hostile acts, the utility workers leave and they can figure out how to get the power back on….
  • We appreciate the linemen. A few nutcases do not represent all of Houston. They keep recycling the same incidents to make excuses

What's that saying? Oh, " Don't bite the hands that feed you"
  • They need to think! So if they hurt linemen, who is going to repair and restore the lights???? How stupid! I understand the frustration but literally think!
  • People are complete idiots. Im on day 10. Extremely pissed… mostly due to the complete lack of communication…… These guys are NOT your enemy. The leadership of Centerpoint is the issue.

As a Houstonian… everybody already knows the electric company monopoly is already over charging but yet citizens still left in the dark without AC live like 3rd world countries.

5 out of 2.2 million people isn't that bad, no excuse but thats pretty low. As someone who came from a ISP call center we would receive complaints like that every day.

Reporting used to involve providing proof. Interesting how there is no video, audio, or other tangible proof other than what they allege. In a society obsessed with cell phones and documenting the minutiae of their lives. Very interesting.

The media has not helped in the last week, constantly reporting the restoration process as being 'slow', when they should know from past storms, it takes a week or two to get millions back online. You want to ask Centerpoint why their infrastructure failed to begin with? Do so, once the entire area is back online, instead of aggravating everyone further.

I saw a Centerpointness parked ALL DAY in a CVS parking lot, I asked them they said were assigned to 10 blocks in the neighborhood, and had no more orders, worked 3 hrs of the 16hrs day.

Any police reports? Actual evidence? All I have heard is reports by word of mouth. If someone threatens your life with an AK would there not be charges filed and a report made?
  • Sounds like excuses to me there is a increase of police in houston so why are they not out there helping them. Instead they threatening to not come back and do the job or work in houston again. Smh

WTF people! Let these people do their job so your power can get turned back on. This is ridiculous! I feel true Houstonians should know better.

Leave neighborhoods doing this until last. They should walk out. Small percentage of the population ruining it for everything.
