Can a close range SPAA fight tanks? In the 1980s, the US military was seriously considering this possibility. After all, around that time, there was a very intriguing and highly unusual project suggested by the Swiss defense company Oerlikon: a special Air Defense Anti-Tank System that used missiles and was equally effective against targets on the ground and in the air.

    Why does the ADATS have to have a higher than average cost? With CAS being the problem that it is the US and UK shouldn't have to suffer to spawn in their top spaa

    does this video mean there's a fix for the gunner optic coming on the american one? or is that still getting forgotten about, making the missiles useless above 59 degrees of elevation. the optic has -5/+90 degrees IRL so it can control the gun and the missiles. currently in game, it is locked to the gun at -5/+59 degrees. the missiles did finally get their +85 degrees elevation sometime ago, but that can only be obtained while in third person, and since the gunner optic can't see that high, you can't lock onto any aircraft as the gunner optic includes the IR tracker. i have not touched the ADATS in months cause the LAV-AD is simply better.

    they talk like its sso good in game yet it cant live up to 11.7 , has a higher br , and you cant even use it to complete your anti air vehicle tasks

    It's primary roll is Anti-Air. It should be designed as an SPAA and receive SPAA Spawn Points. It's secondary roll is anti-tank for self protection.

    This thing should not be 11.7. The SP cost needs to be reduced because you cannot use it when you need it to counter CAS.
