  • You see, this is what happens when we give cats the ability to speak. They go around trying to break up relationships.
  • After seeing a zillion Billie videos and now this one, I'm convinced every cats favorite button is "mad"! 😂

You promised Russell that Dylan would take him outside on the balcony in the early video. He seems to remember everything.

I think he's using "mad" as a default word because he's getting irritated that he doesn't have the word he wants. He wants to ask Dylan for something, but he immediately gets irritated, the "twitchy tail" and ears back after he says Dylan and ponders for a second, then he does his loop against the scratcher to think if he can say it another way and he says, "Russell," but he still says, "Mad," because it doesn't fix the verb issue of what he WANTS from Dylan. He's getting into complex sentence building! Oh, and Billie of Billie Speaks does the same circling thing when she's thinking of a word. I didn't think that was weird because humans do that too! Watch a person talking to a group about a difficult subject and they'll usually stop, scratch their head or self soothe, pace or do a little circle while they're processing, then start talking again. I think it's a non-verbal cue to let others know that we're still working on it. And now the spinning wheel when videos are buffering makes way more sense...lol!
  • I'm surprised that Russell has any fur left on his face. He rubs the corner brush so hard and so often!
  • I think he sees Dylan as a rival male for Momma.
  • I think he's enjoying pressing the mad button and I think he likes to tease Dylan LOL
  • I wonder just how happy Russell would be if he knew how many people love him!
  • Before he even pushed the mad button his tail was saying he was mad. It never stopped twitching! He was really mad at Dylan.
  • I think Dylan was getting attention from Momma and Russel did not like that. LOL
  • I love how he presses the buttons and after both he looks right at Dylan!
  • I'm noticing lately that his answers when he meows them are taking on the same cadence as your words. Kind of like the mimicking small children do when they are about to say their first word. I know he is not going to start speaking, I just think it's interesting that he seems to be mimicking your tone and cadence the way a small child would
  • @SCZ1111
You can hear him purring so I think this kitty is smart enough to totally be messing with Russell lolol
  • He sees Dylan as competition. Dylan needs to try much harder to win Russell over
