hey Ronny, don't know if you'll see this but there's a European company that made a solution to fit a larger tyre on the rear door. it's basically a steel bracket that shifts the tyre carrier position a few inches to the side to allow a 35 to fit on the rear door without obstructing the smaller rear door from opening.
  • @chir0pter
It does look way more balanced with the moderately larger tires and the grill hoops

Delighted to see someone who actually knows their sh1t putting this thing through its paces. Also excited by his reaction to everything done. It's an absolutely cracking machine but I will always feel the engine is the achilles heel. Maybe some additional protection here @ Ronny
  • For anyone interested : Universal window mounting frame $599(per side), Pantry $1450, Eibach springs $1142 (plus fitting cost), 20L lockable jerry can holder $639, 30L fuel tank $399, Fuel pump $159.

Ronnie this build has brought me back to your channel , I prefer your old trip stuff but this build is something else

A piece of flat bar bent so it runs flat under the light bars on your rack and up on the sides to mount to the light bar bracket bolts would cut the light off your skylights and let you leave them uncovered. I work in film lighting in nz and we call it an under-chop.

I have been dying to see someone lift one of these and fit bigger tires! Looks great!

Perfect looking wheel tyre suspension combo. Definitely a vehicle 'built on purpose' for the enthusiast.

Mate....I'm starting to seriously consider jumping into one of these (been a Toyota man for 30 yrs now). Great videos. Keep em coming.
  • @OutbackOutlaw
Yeah…that’s what I like to see. Awesome. It’s got an Aussie feel now and doesn’t look like a weird looking cousin!

Love the prewire routed setup because it is what it was built for. Military application and have things on standby and easy to fit. The fact that this vehicle has snap to fit areas means the engineering was built by some mechanics rather than just engineers. I have been a fan of this British offroad vehicle. Jimmy deville which I think you should interview has a landy defender.

Just sat down to eat some lunch and this is the exact video I’ve been waiting to watch all week!!
  • I picked up the switching wire for the relay from the back of the RH headlight ,it is the easiest point to get to . To get to the rear of the driving lights requires the removal of the bull bar and most of the front of the vehicle. The power for the relay came from the aux wire under the bonnet behind the air cleaner but I was wiring a light bar to the bull bar

It definitely looks good with the larger tires and mods. Nicely done with those. I'm amazed the lift was so simple. Still waiting for someone to rip out that ridiculous, cheap, plastic, BMW-parts-bin shifter and gearbox and put a manual in it, as it should have been from the beginning. Still boggles my mind that Ineos made the exact same mistakes Land Rover did with the Defender in that regard, especially considering this was supposed to be the "proper" enthusiast version of what the Defender should have been. A manual swap would make the Grenadier damned near perfect. As it is, it's just a minivan with a Defender-esque body and I wouldn't own it, especially when you consider the insane price of this vehicle.
  • Great Video. Just a few sensible mods. Like wheels, tyres, a small lift, and a roof rack. Well done.
  • @louvendran7273
Amazing just listening to that straight 6 purr & rip through the gearbox. ❤
  • All the right mods! Mine is coming thru Expedition HQ next week, getting the Xspec gear as well. Good work mate! 👏
