The project is a Lancair 360 MKII Kit Airplane produced by Neico Aviation. The kit is out of production but is considered to be a "Ferrari" of the Kitplane world. I am making modifications to the design and will be discussing my changes as well as many topics related to engineering, making molds, reverse engineering, scanning, creating tool paths, structures, Finite Element Analysis, CFD or Computational Fluid Dynamics, composites techniques and guest visitors on the channel.
The project stems from my own desires to build a L:ancair since I saw the airplane on the front cover of Kitplane Magazine in the early 1990's.

Nice work and congrats on your two kits acquisition. Very informative videos, thank you for sharing. I already subscribed and looking forward to follow along your projects. In future videos, could you share your thought process on modifying the wingtips (winglets/sharklets)? I understand they create an extra surface that redirects the air, reducing the vortex drag but why using them on Lancair 360 in particular? Have you done some specific analysis yet? BTW, great job on those 3D rendering. 👍

What CAD app do you use? Really looking forward to your build and the performance with the UL520T!

Nice sharing info! Quick question:Which software or what product has the best surface rebuild quality for CAD after process?

why is graphic screen at 10:21 minutes inverted/mirrored?

Btw, there’s a carbon fiber Lancair 360 body on Barnstormers currently 😉
