To be fair, it is a good time for everyone involved, especially for the men that get the call from GM's and HC's alike. Drafted players all and the same. This video is dedicated to the first round of the NFL Draft in 2024.

The only logical reason I can fathom that the Falcons picked Penix is that they're incredibly scared of what the penalty will be for tampering with Cousins. Well, that or they think that Cousins is going to turn things around so fast that they won't be in good drafting position for a while so they're grabbing their QB of the future now. Of course, that's assuming that they're not just, you know, stupid.
