Every place on earth has a unique culture to be proud of. I think growing up we tend to take our own culture for granted.

:-) Ever since I was a teenager, I wished one day I could live abroad, just for the experience, and I had set a “limit” on how old I should be; 30. :-) So, actually, when I was 29, I left everything behind, and sort of moved to Melbourne. Turned out to be a failure of epic proportions, hahahaha, returned home a few months later with my wings smashed, told myself “oh well, at least I gave it a try. I’ll just have a ‘normal’ life until I die”, but five years later, when I least expected it, I was given again the chance to leave home, pretty much for good, and I grabbed it. Have been practically moving from one place to another ever since. Bottom line, as you mentioned yourself, age IS just a number. Things happen when you least expect them, and when the opportunity arises, you just need to be open to go for it, whenever it is, doesn’t matter if you are… 27, 34, 39, etc. I’ve met people who changed their life com-ple-te-ly after their 50s, some even after their 60s. Just numbers...

I so like the way you think and your adventurous soul! I understand the excitement of learning a new language and experiencing a new culture having done it myself. At 78 I still feel that excitement when visiting a new country. A Belated Happy Birthday to you and best wishes for all your future adventures. Life is a gift.

I can only offer my encouragement to you for having the courage to take this step to explore and pursue enlightenment outside your comfort zone. Age, or consideration of it, is merely what exists in your own consciousness. Thank you for your honesty in sharing your hopes and dreams with us. Continued very best wishes in overcoming your fears as you enter this voyage of discovery.

Very nice and inspiring. I am retired myself, so I travel. I would rather stay in one place; settle down, get some pets, permanent friends, etc. Traveling can be fun and interesting, but also a hassle as I have to start from scratch every time I move to a new place. One must be careful and weary of strangers. It takes a while to establish true friendships. Loneliness is part of the process one has to deal with. Enjoy your journey; blessings and safe travels.

I sincerely hope it's everything you've been hoping to find. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your travels around Georgia, and hear how it's working out for you. Good luck Elena, and, Happy Birthday!!
  • Welcome back and s dnem Rozhdeniya Eshchye Molodaya Lenochka! I always thought that the climate and culture of Georgia would be one to be able to embrace for a while. Coming alone will benefit you in the long run, as you will be forced to immerse yourself into Georgian culture, language and society sooner than later. I do look forward to your future discoveries in this beautiful country and look forward to continuing to follow you😊!
