You convinced me to actually spend money on speed paints now my minis don't take forever thank you
  • @NeoReziel
Lovely, I'll try this as well, thanks!

I’m back from painting hiatus and watching stuff like crazy. You’ve gotten much better since I was last tuning in regularly! Very inspiration man. Keep on truckin

I really liked your intro with all the smoke and scary music and I look forward to you doing more of these. The skin tone for your ogre looked really good and I might give it a try for my heroquest gargoyle. I thought about some bright red with grey on top so it like lava with a bit of a crust on it rather like the big monster in Lord of the Rings.
  • dipping inks are not only more translucent but they are more watery in consistency. So much so that if you water them down 2 parts paint to 1 part water you can use them as a wash. They are harder to control compared to speed paint or contrast paints. They are significantly cheaper though. There are a few colors that i'd stay away from, but the browns and greens are good. The reds aren't great, the white is actually bad (green stone is good though), flesh tones aren't great. Overall a great paints, but YMMV. I'd suggest getting skeleton brown and maybe yellow sub to start with and expand from there.

Looks like you're going to have to replace some of your dipping inks with the 60 ml bottles
