the best thing about this video is the silence of Ruyi. She may not have known how to respond to Mikes jokes but it's fantastic to see her reaction when he offered to play her again. This girl loves to play chess.

It's hard not to love the banter between Mike and all the kids he plays. Especially when they give as good as they get.

I think the beauty of the chess community is that it draws the old timers and the little kids together in a room where they compete. It’s so great for both parties. The kids get a little bit of wisdom and a full peek into the generational gap while the oldies feel a little bit younger 😅

Mike is that uncle who trash talks. Tells you that you are going down. Teaches you during the game but still tells you that you are going down but in the end goes down himself. I love Mike.

That seems like a really solid program. It's good for kids to catch a little trash talk from someone, especially if that someone is watching out for their well-being as well. That's a good man on the other side of that table, and a good mentor.
