Here is SE NSW Australia, I use PW with great success. Our AU met office does a pretty good job on a 3 day wind, wave and weather forecast but PW is better over longer periods. Ironically for you, one of the models PW uses here is the UKMO, and its does a reasonable job of forecasting our weather in this region! The ECMWF model is very good and best for 5-6 days forecasts. Your issues with UKMO in your geographical area are repeated endlessly in many sailing vids. I think you are in one of the most difficult forecasting zones in Europe.
