As stated in the Terms and conditions on the back of my entry ticket:
"04. You must not make, create, store, record or transmit any kind of sound recording/visual footage/audio-visual footage/information/other data. Equipment that may enable you to do the aforementioned acts is not permitted. Still image cameras and telephones are provided that any image, film recording or data created, recorded or stored thereon is used for personal, private or non-commercial purposes."
...They kind of missed out the word commercial for the first part of that rule...
"05. You assign copyright in any image/film/recording you make at the event to Formula One World Championship Limited ("FOWC") and agree that such image/film/recording shall not be used for public advertisement, commercial gain or any other purpose (except private enjoyment) without FOWC's prior written consent."
OK, I get it now.
