BOAT TEST: VIGGO C8 Awesome aluminium powerboat

Published 2022-02-01
Powerboat & RIB test the Viggo C8, an aluminium powerboat powered by a Mercury 300 V8 outboard. This little pocket rocket is indestructible and loves a bit of throttle, watch as Greg puts the hammer down and checks out this cool design.

Thanks for the video Greg. In case anyone’s interested this is towable behind a decent tow car as its under two tonnes with engine so around 3 tonnes with trailer and some fuel. They’re all built to order so you can specify fridge, bow anchor electric windlass, stern anchor, bigger engine up to 450R , all manner of searchlights and electronics etc. she’s a narrow and very sharp hull and combined with low weight she’s particularly fuel efficient compared to similar sized boats. Nice one PBR

Amazing boat. Good to see one over here. Ive seen these at a boat show in Sweden with a 450 R outboard and they’re 65knots plus…the 300 is the smallest option and probably best suited for the UK’s rougher water. In the flesh the detail is top notch and they’re THE aluminium brand of choice over there..they also do an open top one and a bigger one that’s around 11m long that had twin 450`s..

Who ever videoed this with Greg should never be allowed near a camera again! Great explanation of the boat and all you see is Greg’s head as he tries to explain the set up…….🙄

I really enjoyed seeing Greg’s head and torso whilst he was telling us what he was looking at. My imagination was running wild pretending I was looking at things like the helm or other features. SMH!
  • The review was great but the camera work was pretty bad. Would have liked to see the interior features instead of just Greg's head.

Thanks for the video! It would be nice if the camera man didn’t show the presenter’s face when he is showing stuff one the boat. We would rather see what his hands are doing.

How much do you guys pay the owner to review their boat?
  • Хороший киль и обводы у данного катера но для 8 метрового катера, очень маленькое пространство внутри кабины.
