You will be missed. You show us the true beauty of the trail. Hopefully a speedy recovery. Thank you for sharing your journey thus far. Looking forward to your updates

Hawk, after seeing your pic's of that brand new privy (could only smell the new wood....awesome!), I thought....that is a good sign, the hiking God's are watching over you. I am from Grand Rapids, its absolutely beautiful right now up here in our Great Lake State. (I knew there was a reason I loved watching channel, so cool that you are a fellow Michigander) I truly believe that if you want to energize your mind, body and spirt....take care of your feet first.

Hoping you are well. Injury and relentless pain are real downers. I've struggled through feet issues and now my knee. Healing vibes all around!
-
Glad you are looking after yourself! I might just be able to catch you and hike a mile with you when you get back. I’d like that. Godspeed Hawk!
-
Hawk, I'll hate to see you go but I know you'll be back refreshed and with better feet! Take care, enjoy your time in MI, we'll see you back soon!
-
I didnt realise you are from michigan too. I have enjoyed watching your videos

No doubt the trail will call you back soon. Hope you are able to solve the foot difficulties. Keep on keeping on. Rooting for you.
-
Glad you are taking some time off to get your feet fixed up. The trail will wait for you. I will miss your calm voice for the few weeks that you are away.
-
Get a good rest and get your feet taken care of. We'll look forward to you getting back on the trail.

Water weight is my big problem. I have run out of water a number of times during my section hikes so I always carry at least 2L. But I continue to get my pack weight down with the addition of an EE 20* quilt with stripes. I'm should receive it in 3-5 weeks. Take care of those feet. God Bless

Your emotions are why your there. You will be back. Heal an return, we all will be waiting.

Take a break. I did and started hiking south from Waynesboro. Felt good to rest, and move faster now.
-
Best of luck, hope some rest does the trick.

Get those feet taken care of and work on your pack weight. I'm also working on lowering my pack weight as well , working on getting down to 28lbs. Keep us updated when you can.
