So, did you read my issues where we left off on Pt1? Let's see what else was wrong...

I was noticing on my pit lane area that there was a fluid patch growing as the trackday progressed... Not the oil cooler again...! I checked and that wasn't it... Please let it not be the distributor we'd just rebuilt for this very issue... But after the trackday I checked that and it wasn't that.

But there was fluid on my garage's floor. I grabbed a bit with my hands and tried to smell it. It was definitely "oily" and viscous, but had a different texture. I thought it wasn't engine oil. I smelled it and it didn't smell like transmission fluid, either...

So the only other component in that area is the steering rack. This is just a "dead" power steering, as I used to remove the belt whenever I tracked the car, because with the belt on it robs it 7hp. At some point I must've not secured the tensioner well, and that is now part of the Nurbürgring's grass nutrients... so it's always acting as a non-power-steering system. It has fluid in it. I've been using it like that for long periods of time. It might not be ideal, in a 38 year old car, but I haven't had luck finding a manual rack. I won't settle for an MR2 one, as the geometry is never "right" with those afterwards.

Besides this, powering out of most corners I was having a sudden spike of revs. This could be for several reasons. A broken damper, a worn rear LSD... or maybe even the dripping of that fluid could have "sprayed" its way onto the rear inner tire...?

The LSD should be on its last legs, after being rebuilt 10 years ago using the previously mildly worn clutch discs in different order.

What do you think from watching the footage is the issue?

So while all that happened, I saw myself dicing with a few [super]cars... Some of which didn't fully understand if they accelerate out of "walking through" the corners, I'm simply not able to overtake them (!)

This created some interesting moments as I sit there waiting for them to literally brake in order for me to pass them, and then gain 10 car lengths on the next braking zone+corner. I had a bit of fun editing this one. Let me know how you liked it!

I tried to do a couple of clean laps that will come in a bit later.

Qué artista, el vídeo mola mucho pero con los clips que has metido estás ya en otra liga. Y será por coches adelantados 😮 Tienes que hacer una intro en la que se vea el coche por fuera que es bien bonito

Not being passed by a single car!?! Your vids have made me totally reconsider tracking my 86, I always thought it would just be a rolling road block for the other cars. Have you considered a quickrack from Flo's? they do LHD ones and the conversion bushes you need to fit to a PAS member- I'm still running the PAS knuckles with mine and the steering is fast, but not too twitchy.

So cool watching you pass all these newer cars like they are standing still lol. Do you have a write up on the aw11 stuff not being right geo wise? I did one with the MK3 Supra Intermediate Shaft on my car
