Petrosian has an incredible tactical view, and a wonderful sense of the danger... No matter how much you think deep... He will 'smell' any kind of danger 20 moves before!" — Bobby Fischer
  • @andrewhall6342
There are many many many arguments for the greatest attacker ever: Tal, Neshy, Fischer Morphy, but there is only one argument for the greatest defender ever. Petrosian, without doubt the hardest person to checkmate.
  • @desambio
5:37 "..on the f7 square, where the king will be very safe.." 2 seconds later... King moves to g7 "hes gonna be much safer here" xD
  • If it is true that a player’s style is his person, then everyone plays as he is intended to by nature. I am naturally cautious, and I altogether dislike situations which involve risk.” – Tigran Petrosian

  • @burns9281
damn i love petrosian, i know he aint the most exciting to watch, but i love his style. how good he is at his king safty and positional chess. his games are so worth studying. pls keep doing more of his games agadmator
  • @MatheusLB2009
Damn, Petrosian was really into taking the joy out of Rashi's day xD
  • @bulentkirca3311
Thank you for showing this game.Petrosian played very safely as usual without giving any shadow of attack to Nezhmetdinov.
  • @yasinyaqoobi
Rashid, lost because we went on reverse gear with his dark bishop. It's like Tal not sacrificing a piece.
  • Agadmator: You don't wanna give Rashid Nezhmetdinov any open lines Suren: You don't want to give Nezhmetdinov a chance to attack Mato: You don't want to make Nezhmetdinov get his chance Many analyst, one fear, and that's Nezhmetdinov to attack..
  • @xyon9090
I wonder how many car accidents No reverse gear Rashid had.
  • @Manser2000
I'm really starting to enjoy Nezhmetdinov's games thanks to your channel, I love his style!
  • @MrSupernova111
I love that you now add tournament standings at the end of your videos. It gives your videos much more context. Thank you and keep up the great work!
  • @ericsbuds
love learning about these great players and the games they played.
  • Your chess channel is the best I can imagine. I´m only an amateur player, but it´s just great to watch the real champions and to realize their kind of thinking and imagination. Your comments are just great and even help me to improve my poor inspiration. Thanks a lot for all of this . . .
  • @manu-ox4fe
Petrosian was a solid player. Some would say boring. Like Giri. If you overdo it attacking him, he will punish you.
  • @KW-vm5fc
Insightful game...it wasn't until years later did I become a Petrosian fan. I may have to contribute again if you ever begin doing a regular analysis of his career and games. Perhaps after Capablanca is finished?! You are fast becoming a favorite Youtuber for me after I found your channel about a month ago. Keep up the great work. Your enthusiam shows!!
  • you are the best analyzer of the game I have seen, thnks for what you do, I appreciate it. for some reason, I lose interest in others analysis, but not yours, thnks again.
