Park staff said they were called to a part of the park about a quarter of a mile west of the Pipe Creek Overlook just before 11 a.m. Mountain time for the fall. Rangers found 20-year-old Abel Joseph Mejia had fallen to his death from a rim. He fell about 400 feet.

I’m not sure what’s weirder.. the fact that someone fell into the Grand Canyon, or a man made out of hickory.

What the hell is a hickory man?

lol 5 days ago the news was reporting on the new safety precautions at the grand canyon. Didnt even take a week for someone to embrace nature

Another person went over the rails

There is a great book they sell at the gift shop. It's called over the edge death in Grand canyon. Definitely a good read before you go see it.

During 3 of my visit there, i saw many who could instantly fall into the Grand canyon, wearing flip flops standing/ sitting on the edge full of tiny rocks

I have always wondered if we Americans have a mechanical brain. Comments vindicate me.

Don't stand close to the edge. I just remember how my brain & body felt stepping on those glass floors & seeing open space. It almost makes you dizzy & lose balance.
