This Friday Evening at 8pm on the Southwest Florida Tech Net... We discuss Space Weather and the Relationship We, as Amateur Radio Operators, have with our Sun! We will Deep Dive into Solar Storms, Coronal Mass Ejections, Sun Spots, Geomagnetic Field Disruptions, Auroras, and the Coming Solar Cycle 25. We will discuss the Carrington Event and what that Major Solar Storm would do if it happened today! We will brush up on Solar Terms and how the Space Weather Environment Works. We will discuss in depth HF Propagation, when it is best and worst, and what the numbers mean on the Solar Index that we see everywhere. We will discuss web resources that are available to you and we will discuss various spotting and reporting programs and how to use them. Finally, we will discuss how to protect your radios and other equipment from an Electromagnetic Pulse or Storm!
