Please check out our video to learn about the high risk. Immediately check out if your L405 or L494 is effected as well.

Looking up from underneath and seeing a crack, LR Time never fails to deliver 🤣

I had exactly the same, mine was just newer than recall and Land Rover were having non of it. I even went to the DVSA here in the UK to highlight the danger, they too not interested. Zero concern from Land Rover on this one, glad your highlighting.

You and your lovely wife are not just the funniest people on youtube you are also the most enjoyable.Your description of countries that drive on the right hand side was the funniest thing i ever saw on youtube besides being a super mechanic/engineer you are so clever about all things land rover please never stop making the videos

That is definitely a recall. Once you have notified Land Rover all these vehicles need to be stopped and taken off the road. They will have huge liability here if they can’t prove an aftermarket torque problem.

In Australia a few years ago I had one of Australia's biggest selling cars. The a/c hose leaked out all the gas right on warranty expiry (on time, the car was low klms). The dealer said they had never seen that issue before however the internet was full of discussion on the exact issue. Even a mate who worked at a dealer said it's a common problem. Never trust what the dealer says 😞

I just love the way that Christian explains a situation/problem. When he is finished there is no drought or questions. Christian you should do "After Dinner Speeches" with the topic "How to make a mountain out of a molehill". You have "Desktop Mechanics" another YouTuber has "Health & Safety Police" (UK)

Land Rover don’t like paying for recalls. They never admitted the oil dilution issue with diesel Ingenium engines, just gave extra free oil changes until the car was out of warranty so the car was not their problem anymore…….. 😐
  • @TheGalifrey
Christian, don't be too angry with people that drive RHD cars as they aren't the ones that force the vast majority of drivers to remove their primary hand from the steering wheel to change gear 😂

I would love to see you pick up an XJ. I think it's one of the nicest Jags ever produced. Massively underrated. You don't see many of them on the road.

Brilliant video as per usual. Christian, your next project car should have the JLR 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine in it. There are a lot of them around, and by all accounts it will surely provide you with endless video footage for this channel, especially if you get a car where it's mounted transversely, because that appears to be related to all sorts of grief related to emissions reduction systems.

Today I learned two things: 1. When something really is bad Vera says ''Oh my God....Oh my God.'' 2. In Germany, when you have a highly efficient functional vehicle lift, when working on suspension you just raise the vehicle 0.5M so you still have to get down onto your knees. Maybe it saves on electricity?
  • @MARTINA-gc3tq
In defence of JLR there is no way the engineers believed the bearings would out last the knuckles……or the engine.

Buy the Jag, it’s good to get challenged from time to time. Re: Metal fatigue. Many years ago, I worked for Hawker Siddley in Hatfield UK. My office window overlooked the water tank they used to test the hulls of the doomed Comet aircraft before they knew about metal fatigue. The windows of the plane were square shaped, the cracks happened in the corners.

Thailand also drives on the Left, the correct side! Good show!
  • Thank you so much for this video, I have a L494 and definitely going to check this out. Ralph from South Africa 🇿🇦

Hi Christian and Vera . Firstly I don’t own a Land Rover of any description, but , i cannot help but watch your hilarious antics on this channel, I’ve seen everything you’ve posted and it’s excellent. I especially like the fact that as a half German from a little town called troisdorf , near to porz and cologne , I get great pleasure from your sense of humour, exactly like my uncle Werner !! (Sadly no longer with us) please keep up the good work, and I’m hooked!!!
  • @martynbush
The Jaguar will be a brilliant project. Especially as I'm thinking of getting one.
  • Back in the eighties when your ancestors did this, priceless! Thank you Christian & Vera I love watching your videos & I also know nothing about Toyota cars
