Her name is Adelmi Ruiz. She wasn't arrested. She wasn't wearing anything that would have identified her as a reporter. They detained multiple people until they identified the 25 people they were actually after. Those people were arrested. The rest were released without charges.

I live here theres alot to the story like people claiming to be press or getting a press pass from local papers. Press does not pick a side or become part of the occupation or assualt police officers while standing in solidarity with the protest. Press is supposed to be non bias repport of an incident with documentation for the readers veiwers to decide

Our news teams need to do a better job of visually identifying as press, and speaking to law enforcement ahead of time about the fact that they will have reporters on scene and not to arrest them. This is just what happens here, people don’t really coordinate that well.
