i didn't know that cutting your own hair is so easy

Hey there, welcome back to My Beauty Corner! Today, I've got something a little different for you. So, I may or may not have snagged some scissors from my boyfriend/husband...again. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures, right?

i didn't know cutting my own hair would be so easy

I decided to take matters into my own hands and cut my own hair. Yep, you heard that right! It's been years since I last attempted this.

All you need are good hair scissors - no kitchen scissors, please!
And if you're ready, welcome to my Beauty Corner Salon!

If you have any questions, requests, or tips of your own, please leave them in the comments below. I love hearing from you and helping you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin.

  • I am in my 70s, with long hair. So fed up of the inflated salon prices and still ending up with haircut that I'm not happy with. Yesterday I cut my own hair and I'm sooooo pleased with it . OK it is rounded at the back a but, but I don't mind now. Overall my hair looks fabulous this morning. Than you so much for this video. I too will not be going to the salon now. ❤

I cut my hair this way too. I actually cut myself a fringe last week too, chopping off around 8 inches. This method definitely works!

Thanks for the video! Your confidence and relaxed vibe made me feel at ease with cutting my own hair. Was very happy with the results! Enjoyed your sense of humor and happy energy 🌸

First of all you’re beautiful ❤second, no matter the technique, I’m just happy to see that other ladies cut their OWN HAIR! I’ve refused to pay exorbitant amounts for someone else to cut my hair when I can do it myself? I’ve used a similar technique for years, from the USA ❤TEXAS 🇺🇸 I appreciate you and this video!😊

This is the first video from you that i watched... and girl YOU ARE SO SWEET. I really REALLY enjoyed the time that i was watching you. Keep going girl❤❤
  • Its good that you wet your hair, then combed it and secured the elastics, but next time part your hair then brush and put in the elastics that way your hair is sitting were it should when you cut it. Also overdirecting everything to the front gives you a v or u in the back, so as long as your fine with that this haircut works. Your hair looks so healthy and shiny good job 👍
  • Great video for a self haircut tutorial! This method is very good. Thigh I'd recommend investing in a pair of hairdressing scissors/shears, those are gonna make your job much easier!
  • Thank you for this! I have had short layered hair for many, many years, since I had thin hair and wanted volume (which was always a pain to upkeep cutting of layers and not always leaving the salon with the same results - in addition and all the styling involved) During the "pandemic" I stopped going and grew my hair out (eventually to 1 length - typically to the middle of my back) became very long and every once in while needed a trim of split ends. I have very thin hair. One salon actually charged me $50 + tip to cut 1-1/2 inches off straight one length hair! Next salon - $28 + tip for the same (5 minutes worth of work) multiple times. Have been putting off going back again (not only the money aspect but the constant chatter and "upselling of product" which I cannot stand because I research my own products. Recently my hair has gotten way too long and lots of ragged edges. Always fearful of cutting my own hair. I saw this video (watched multiple times) - you made me feel "brave" so ordered some salon sissors from Amazon. Followed your tutorial and it total start to finish (cut 4 inches off) in less than 10 minutes with great results.
  • Thank you so much for posting this cutting suggestion, because I Just cut my own hair a few days ago and took about 3 inches off, but I felt like it needed to be more precise and this technique helped me to perfect my recent cut. Thanks!!!! 👍

Irina, you are so beautiful, and soooo hilarious!! Loved watching you cut your own hair....and it looks pretty good! A new subscriber from the US.
  • This is the best method ever!!! So easy. Literally every girl needs to know about this. Just did it and my hair feels GREAT! And it’s even. I didn’t even need to do the four sections at the end :)
  • Beautiful, it even looks soft and silky. I will be cutting alot off this week. Haven't cut hair un 2 yrs
