I was in Shanghai in April this year and Nanjing Rd. was so crowded I had to get out of there. Judging from the first shot in that video, it looks like they shot their footage early in the morning before the shops opened. Also, escalators in China automatically turn off if there is no one on them.

Seriously, a city with 20+ millions people and streets are empty, I find it hard to believe. Its either all the shops were not opened yet or some old videos from Covid time.

Haters gonna hate. But deep down, they all know that it is self-loathing for their own life's shortcomings and instead of trying to fix them, they just find it easier to blame others for it. Well, they see making dark money is their ways of fixing their shortcomings and a few of them do make big bucks for peddling lies about others without giving it a second thought about the kinds of consequences and collateral damages that their lies may cause to their targets and themselves as well.

First time to your channel and thanks for showing the real Shanghai. It's all about the timing, Nanjing Road can look deserted in the early morning or during COVID. That said, we learn from the news (genuine ones) that consumer spending is not that good despite you see the crowds out there. But that's another story.
