Seeing Czech railways always make me jealous. They are so similar to the Polish ones but just way better...

I am from Czech Republic, but I haven't tested comfortjet. So now I know something about our new train!
  • @dsdonovan
If only they could bottle and sell that "new train smell".

simon! youre one lucky man to find THAT vectron! named boltik. it is a rare sight. as this vectron was named so by České dráhy due to a railfanning furry! thats named bolt, the railway doggo. oh i wish i were you. nice video btw!

It is worth noting that in Bohumín (although it is relatively small city) there is the second largest railway depot of the Czech Railways company (the largest one is in Prague) :)

That's a beautiful station hall! And the trains look great too - quite something to think that Czech trains might run all the way to Copenhagen.
  • It's an evolution of the czech Interjet sets. The top speed is 230km/h

I like the second class best. Love the lamps in the old dining car.
  • The combination of the new train with the „old“ dining car is great! 😃
  • Heeey! Czech moving up in the world! Hot Potato, this is modern Stuff! I liked the charging possibility for the E-bikes. The infopoint for the train Staff is also impressive. Seems to be an awesome train.

Great video and great to see ČD bringing in new stock. I did Dresden - Prague in 1st a few months ago on the old coaches and they were comfortable but worn out… nonfunctional toilets and my coach had a loud flat wheel. Hopefully they’ll be brought into the international routes soon…

I really like Czech trains ngl. They are more comfortable, on some regional routes there's an option for first class (which is cool ngl) and the network is fairly modern.

oh my god, thats crazy. You saw the Vectron which is named by Bolt, i wish i were you....

I didn't even know we had these! Btw. you should definitely come to Brno to ride the new "Moravia" trains that we've got, on the lines S2, S3, S9. (Main line from Křenovice - Letovice and Křižanov - Hustopeče/Židlochovice). You should definitely take a look, I've ridden them few times just past this week in the hot summer, there was fully blasting AC and nobody on the train! It looks perfect. Greetings and I hope you enjoyed Czechia :)

One thing, trains operated by Czech Railways typically haveon site dining in the first class, meaning the dining car staff will come to you to ask, whether you want anything from the diner and you have priority serving as a perk of first class. Note that either a steward responsible for the coach (on Pendolino trains) or conductor will give you the water bottle at the start of your journey, but a proper waiter will come for your dining order and will serve you your food! Not the conductor!

Dang, I was expecting a Semtex joke at Pardubice :(
