I started this 6 months ago at 403 lbs with venous insuffibiency and lyphadema in both legs. 6 months later I am 299 lbs and everything is improving.....the journey back to health continues
  • I'm not a vegan, but I've switched to taking sugar, processed foods, wheat, grains, and anything in a box out of my diet. I've changed my life doing this! Fatty liver gone, pre-diabetes gone, Triglycerides from 209 to 95, and I've lost 48 pounds! Doesn't matter if your Vegan, or non vegan putting all this sugar and highly processed foods in your body is so very unhealthy! 😊
  • My husbands granny lived in the Appalachian mountains her whole life. Grew up eating pork, chicken, eggs, lard, biscuits, grew fresh veggies, made fruit cobblers and lived to be 91 without one health issue!! Of course, mostly what she ate, she raised or grew in the garden never ate at the fast food places. But she also worked in the garden all her life.
  • This is a fabulous documentary... my mom passed in 2018😢 from non-alcoholic Cirrhosis of the liver which I firmly believe came from the foods she ate and years of prescription meds......I researched so many things to try to help her because the liver can rejuvenate itself.....the main thing I tried to focus on was her diet but she had to be willing to put in the work.... sadly it's a very hard thing to become disciplined when we are used to being a certain way...I just pray I will become disciplined to change so I can help my daughter, grandsons, family and myself 💯👆👆🙏🙏🙏🙏🫀🫀🫀🫀🫀RIP Mama I miss you😢😢

I tried so hard not to cry, but when she said she's had 2 kids after being told she cant conceive...I lost it! I'm so proud of and happy for ALL these people. So amazing.

People talk about drug addiction, sexual addiction, the list goes on. Hardly do you ever hear about food addiction. Yes we need food to fuel our bodies. But it has gone from we eat to live vs we live to eat. This was conviction and eye opening for me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
  • Cut out processed food, fast food, and starches on April 2 2023 and on July 13 2023 came from 314 lbs to 269lbs. Occasionally I will eat a wrap or high fiber bread. I exercise 30 minutes a day. I feel great and will continue because I love the way I feel. I noticed that the more sugar, I eat, the more sugar my body wants and craves. After eating it I go to sleep immediately. Now I try to stay away.

This has encouraged me to start a whole food plant based diet. Thanks for this movie!

I love that they point out that docs probably know less about nutrition that the patient. My husband was getting chemo and he was an insulin dependent diabetic. At his first treatment they asked if we needed anything - meaning coffee, a magazine...I told them yes! I need a nutritionist because caring for him is more than I can handle with these co-morbities. They were shocked, but I had a nutritionist sitting with us within 20 minutes. Food is medicine and I live by that.

I hear all these miracle recovery stories from both carnivore, keto, and vegan advocates. I notice the one common change is removing, sugar, starch, processed food, and seed oils. Maybe dairy, as well.

This documentary is so eye opening. If people watching this don’t get it I don’t know what will. I’ve been on Dr Esselstyn’s program since 2022. All of my blood labs were all in the normal range after just 2 months. I’ve been on the diet for 8 months now and I already have reversal of plaque in my carotid arteries according to the ultrasound report. The body fat dropped off me. Save your life and switch to whole food plant based eating. The recipe books are fantastic. I enjoy trying new recipes. I love being committed to my own wellness. I pray you will do the same. God bless your journey. 🌱🫛🥦🥬🧅🧄🫛🫑🍌🍎🍑🍓🍒🌾🥖🍝
  • Love this!! We feed our family of 8 this way. It's amazing!! We feel awesome! I don't want to wait till I get a disease. I have been looking for the right way to eat for 20 yrs. Why am I just finding this? America needs to wake up!
  • You are what you eat, that never hit me till I had a stroke at 53. Switched to plant based and what a difference! I lost 20 pounds the first month. The real battle is quitting sugar, its evil and you don't realize it

Same thing happened to me when talking to my fathers doctors. It’s heartbreaking to find out they don’t want to talk about anything but pill popping and chemo. The truly did not care to hear how we took sugar out of his diet. They actually got angry with me for bringing it up.
  • @azote339
Sugar is the problem, not meat.
  • Going through angioplasty and having stents inserted in my arteries was a wake up call. With this movie, I am now fully awake! Thank you for producing this documentary!

How refreshing to see a documentary of doctors who admit to knowing close to nothing about food as medicine. I developed numerous symptoms since 2020, not covid related, and today I still have those symptoms. I saw over 30 plus doctors since and none can diagnose me yet still prescribed me anxiety, depression, pain killer, muscle relaxer, anti acid meds, etc. I didn’t take any of those prescriptions. Just this month November 2023, I did my Dr YouTube and Dr Google research and learned so much about gluten sensitivity. I just started the gluten free diet a couple days ago and I feel good. I know it will take some time to see if every symptom I have will go away. Never give up on yourself. I’m thankful for this documentary. Finding a good doctor that cares and knowledgeable in nutrition is hard to find.

My grandma had breast cancer went to Mexico for 6 months and ate a completely clean diet and came back cancer free. This is so true and I wish more people could see this. Food industries have turned into how much they can profit and not providing us with healthy nourishing produce.
  • Excellent information! Unfortunately the media is trying to normalize obesity, and if you dare to mention someone is overweight then you are accused of body shaming. It has become a difficult topic to discuss, it’s a shame.
